Informally, Shattered Star takes place about 5 years after Rise of the Runelords and about 4 years after Curse of the Crimson Throne and Second Darkness. (Legacy of Fire isn't connected to Shattered Star; different continent.) Might want to ask your GM about the timeline they're using, though.

Sorry for the Necro, but this is 100% on point with what I was wondering: officially how many years pass between the various AP's. Does it state somewhere the 'start dates' or how else is it known?

Officially? There is no official meta-plot, and if no-one in your table completes Rise of the Runelords, the events sort of didn't happen.

Think of the batman-creating-supervillains.

A fair way to answer this is to look at the year the AP is published--which is usually 1 year apart (starting publishing around 2001). The 'start date' is year 4702 when Jervis Soot in Rise of the Runelords kills 25 victims, during Burnt Offerings.
So the start date of CotCT is 4703; Kingmaker 4707, and so on.
