Another Flurry of Blows question. This time regarding combat maneuvers.

Rules Questions

I realize this has probably been addressed somewhere but I couldn't find it after 10+ minutes of looking. Feel free to post a link to another thread if it address's my question.

Essentially, if I'm trying to use one of my flurry attacks to make a trip, disarm, or grapple(assuming maneuver master) does that happen simultaneously with my other attacks or is there a specific order. For instance, say I make an unarmed attack and a trip attempt, could I specify that the trip comes first so that the unarmed would be targeting a prone enemy? Furthermore, if the trip attempt fails and I haven't rolled my extra attack, could I substitute that for a second attempt to trip? Or would I have to declare two trip attempts and roll them simultaneously, potentially wasting one if both succeed?

Finally, given the threads I've read so far, it appears that the intention is to be making half of the attacks with each weapon I'm using, ie- no making all of my flurries with a single weapon. With that in mind, if I'm attempting to make one attack and one trip attempt using a tripping weapon, would the attack have to be made with my off hand weapon/unarmed strike since I'm "using" the trip weapon to perform the maneuver? Or is simply wielding it enough to grant me the +2 bonus?

This isn't a question about the monk, this is about full-attacks in general. Check out the Combat chapter of the Core Rulebook, under Actions in Combat, and the subheading about the Full Attack action.

In short, multiple attacks are never made simultaneously. You must always take your attacks in sequence (and attacks from high BAB must be taken in order from highest to lowest), and you must declare each of them. Although it's often convenient to roll multiple d20s at once, you technically need to declare one attack (and whether it's a normal attack or a maneuver or whatever), resolve it, then continue based on that information. In fact, you can even decide after your first attack that you'd rather take a move instead of the rest of your attacks.

I suggest reading up on that chapter of the CRB.

That was the original intent for Pathfinder - they attempted to "marry" FoB to the TWF rules. However, a great many players (and even some contributors) mistakenly assumed it worked differently (apparently the way it worked in 3.5), and after a great deal of gnashing of teeth, they FAQ'd it into being able to flurry with a single weapon. You can find a link to the official FAQ on the top-right corner of any Paizo.com page.

The "trip" weapon quality does not grant a +2 bonus. Check out the definitions of weapon special qualities in the Equipment chapter of the Core Rulebook.

Clearly I need to brush up on some of my basics. Thanks for the input Jig. I'd been reading through the nerdrage flurry thread but hadn't yet seen how it was resolved.
