We are bringing this one to it's knees.

They should be able to handle the load once the kickstarter ends. It's kind of a crunch time right now.

Well we could side slip to http://pfofan.com/ until the KS backers finish crawling over Paizo. I wonder what % of the backers haven't ever actually played Pathfinder or D&D before.

Ive never played pathfinder or read anything on it. I thought it was its own RPG now I see it is open gamign license which I know real well from my dnd days

Uhm...I've never played Pathfinder before. I've seen posters of it hanging in my local MTG/Comic Shop, but didn't really know what it was before a couple days ago. I've also never played PnP D&D either.

I did play Neverwinter Nights on a hardcore PW Forgotten Realms role playing server for approximately 7 years. I also played World of Warcraft for a few years. So I'd say I come from a Persistent World, D&D, Roleplaying, MMORPG background. That's really why I'm glad I stumbled upon the Kickstarter page in the last couple days and why I chose to back it. So far it sounds like it has the potential to be an amazing game, and fits a niche of many in the NWN PW community looking for a way out of a dying game.

Interesting (and Welcome!). I've also been playing a NWN persistent world (Higher Ground), but only for the last two years. I'm still playing, and don't plan to stop, but I can see that it is slowly dying. However, the developers are still designing new areas and implementing new mechanics so I expect it will be around for years to come.

And that's the closest I've gotten to "Massively Multiplayer". My online gaming experiences with strangers have trended toward negative, so I'm generally wary of spending my limited time on such things. However, the community that I've seen here at the Paizo forums and the design elements that Goblin Works has chosen have eased my concern for PFO.

Yes, please, on new forums. With subforums. And an RP subforum.

Seriously, with two Kickstarters over now, we really need to focus on building the Pathfinder Online community, and having our own space to do it in would be lovely.

@Chiassa As requested www.pfofan.com :)

You know at least until they get their own site up. (Still plan to keep this up and running afterwards, and continue to develop and enhance it)

Ive never played d&d or pathfinder before, just a gamer who thought this looked worth 55$ and loves the perks. Whoever did the shieldmate and destiny's twin really knew how to get gamers interested.

I think some of the best online gaming I ever had was with a Drow clan on a NWN persistent world.

We were always in trouble with the mods for playing the Drow as actually Evil whilst not technically breaking any rules :D Stuff like leading Ancient Red Dragons into surface cities where they would kill all the NPC guards and merchants used to get us in a lot of trouble.
