Or Paizo, I can genuinely say I'm glad that the Kickstarter seems to be headed for failure. Most of my reasons can be found on Redacted Link, where many of the potential problems are pointed out. Just thought you should read it, and perhaps give your side of the story.

Wow...the mere mention of sitting down to an evening of certain company's games makes my mind hurt, and yet I can't think of a time, even once, that I felt the need to let my inner fiver year old out and run to the respective forums for these games/companies and stick my tongue out just to prove I can do it.
Bravo, for accomplishing...nothing.

Hey look, just because the guy is 14ft tall, can only speak Giant, has regenerative properties, and is prone to fire and acid damage DOES NOT make him a troll!
I mean he could be a... a... well now that I come to think of it, I can't really think of any other creature that meets those criteria. Anyone wanna help me out?

Zelkon wrote:What makes you think it won't fail? For one thing, Kickstarter Projects that reach 30% of their funding goal have a 90% chance of succeeding.
I'll take that empirical 90% over your "seems to be" any day :)
Opening your thread by saying you're glad about something seeming to not go as planned because you hate the host company and core product probably wasn't the best way to go about that.
It's not just seems to be, if you click the link. The 30-90 statistic is true, however, the 10% that don't make it are the ones that have large budgets and no way to get there, which, if trends are correct, is a category that PFO seems to fall in. There are plenty of $2,000 projects that will have earned $600; ones that have a realistic goal. Evidence seems to point to the fact that PFO does not.
Stating an opinion, yes. If I wanted the project to succeed, I'd have posted "Oh no! This project isn't trending towards its goal" or something.

The people over there seem to be more interested in sabotaging the game if its released. (Someone explain the mentality of ruining an experience for others to me please? It sounds like Sandbox bullying. 'I don't like you playing in the sandbox, so I'm going to treat it like a litterbox?') Anyway, if there's some legitimate complaint against the games, maybe you can express them more intelligently here?

Most of what I saw was pretty much wild speculation. But I'll take a shot at answering some of the concerns:
If you think Pathfinder sucks, Pathfinder Online is probably not the MMO for you.
The idea isn't unrestricted PvP. Killing people makes you an open target. So if you like killing people, you can, and then you can get hunted down, which you might also enjoy.
Therefore, it will theoretically not be as open to bad behavior as EVE Online, assuming the design is successful and adjustments are made as people find workarounds to allow for unfettered harassment (which would be a better definition of griefing than normal outlaw/bandit activity).
I don't know Ryan Dancey. Apparently he kicked someone's dog over at rpg.net. He probably shouldn't have done that, I guess. It's mean to kick dogs.

Mommy said I was special so everyone needs to know my opinion. Also I don't like something so no-one should enjoy it. Millenials...
No, I was pointing out why individuals such as myself think the KS is going to fail and why it should. I would beseech you not to whine and insult someone you know nothing about. Let it drop.
