I was wondering if it would be possible to give a list of the anonymous item rankings based on what the community voted after the 32 are picked. I'm very curious to see where my item places in this, even if it isn't selected for the Top 32.
I don't think it would be too difficult since the items are already being ranked in some manner by the people voting on them.
I, too, would be very curious to know my final ranking (preferably, in spaces 1-32, if possible).
I don't know if the organizers will be interested in releasing this information, as it will be far more curt and generally unhelpful than the judge critiques we've enjoyed in previous years. It can also be quite misleading, since the difference between the item ranked at 250 might have gotten similar votes to item 1,000, if there's a large cluster of similarly-voted items.
If so inclined, though, I'd say the way to go about this would be revealing which percentile of the ranking an entrant's submission reached. Maybe with leagues ("Top 10%", "Top 20%", etc...).
Mikko Kallio had a great suggestion: he proposed a list of the 100 top-ranked items, possibly not even sorted by the "actual" rank. That'd be really cool! ...and sounds pretty safe to me :D
