Been having trouble with the site today. It was working fine about 6 hours ago, then it started taking forever to load pages (about five minutes each; not exaggerating). When a page would "finish", it would only have some of the stuff from the top or side of the page, followed by some exposed code and a whole lotta white space.
Eventually, this result was replaced by an "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" error (still after taking several minutes trying to load).
Being somewhat used to the site crashing from time to time, I didn't think too much of it until I still couldn't get it to work a few hours later. Eventually it started loading more of the page (i.e., then entire top section and left sidebar) before deciding it was done. I kept after it for the last two hours, eventually seeing progress as a couple of pages actually did load completely within the last 45 minutes. So I'm taking the opportunity to report the issue.
For reference, loading this "New Thread" page took about 9 minutes.
I'm using IE7, so it's entirely possible the problem is on my end (perhaps a hamster got out of its wheel?) but I thought I should try to report the issue anyway.
Thanks! Now hopefully this post will stick...
Yeah it sucks today.
We've got an incident ticket with our ISP and it's been escalated a couple times. No word on when the problem will be fixed.
it's... happening.... right... now.... uhhhhhh... I'm addicted....

I will say this is a really good example of why you shouldn't wait until the last minute to submit your RPG Superstar entries... what if this had happened yesterday? You'd be screwed, that's what.
Dang it Jiggy you beat me by 3 minutes.
WHICH YOU WOULDN'T HAVE IF MY THREAD HAD POSTED THE FIRST TIME
</fake rant>
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Whew.
Same issues. Odd thing was it was happening to me about 12:30 central time, yet I had two friends in the area saying no issues as well as one in Spain saying the same thing.
And, for now, it's puffing along nicely.

YAY Paizo's back on our web!!
I was excited to start voting early this morning, was distraught that the site was down, happy it was back up again, and then sad that I have to wait until 2pm PST to vote on Superstar items(it's 9 am PST right now).
The site was down for me (on two different computers plus my iPhone) from sometime yesterday afternoon until right ... about .... NOW
The site was down for me. However, I am glad that the site is back.
Our ISP claims everything is fixed now.
Gary, out of curiosity (I'm in networking/coding area of where I work), did they tell you what the issue was?

What kind of idiot builds a colo facility in a laser-armed dinosaur battlefield?
Why did the ISP look like a horrible TV show created to sell action figures?
I tried coming here on Cyber Monday to buy some crap for my brother, couldn't get through.
Yesterday I tried again to buy something, no luck.
Am I just lucky that the few times I've been here the servers have been fuxored or does this happen often?

You just have awesome timing. Things are usually relatively stable around here.

I think I literally had the shakes while Paizo was down. Never scare me like that again!
Tough time of year to try to get stuff like this fixed too. That said, you deserve some reassurances that their data center is equipped to handle "normal" weather conditions for its region.

I can access the site with Chrome, but Firefox and IE are taking 5+ minutes to load the Paizo site.
I was having issues earlier today but right now it seems to be playing nice. :-)
I've been getting the "nostore" pages on and off since Monday evening, along with the occasional timeout.
Most of the time, everything's fine, but every now and then, not so much.
Been a little slow today, and I did get the no store message a few minutes ago, but mostly ok.
Just to let everybody know, we're still investigating what's going on. We've taken some more measures to ameliorate things but I'm not convinced we've found the root cause just yet.
