A happy belated birthday! Long time stalker of this thread here. Anyway, once there's a final idea on how those non-magical options will work, I can't wait to hear more.

Plus, I'm inclined to mix n match; as Thundarr, Gamma World, RIFTS, and the like are my cup of science-fantasy tea. So, consider me very excited!

"Heya Folks,

So as of today I am no longer a member of Super Genius Games. The company and I had ceased to be a good fit, so we can to a mutually satisfactory agreement that has me no longer being a member of the Super Genius Entertainment LLC, and no longer the lead developer of Super Genius Games. I sincerely wish SGG good fortune in all its future endeavors, and I am very proud of the work I did while part of it.

A lot of that work is going to come with me in my new venture, Rogue Genius Games, which I am in the process of spinning up. I have also brought Warlords of the Apocalypse with me, and thus those of you with preorders are now my customers rather than SGG's. I took this project because I am passionate about it, and I really want to produce a game you'll enjoy and I'll love working on and finishing.

I am sure more questions will come as we move forward, and I'll be giving you updates regularly to keep you in the loop about where I and the project am.

Thanks for everyone's support as we take another bend in this already-long road. :D"

So if you have questions about WotA, feel free to put them here. If you have questions about me leaving SGG, or starting RGG, or how that impacts anything else, look for the announcement thread. :)

Was wondering how WotA is going. Looking forward to the book.

Work on WotA has had to take a back seat while I worked on getting Rogue Genius Games established. (It turns out creating a whole company is a lot of work!)

With luck, this week will see the release of RGG's first new Pathfinder-compatible product, which is a great benchmark, but still just one step in a fairly long process of having a company that can do things without a lot of day-to-day effort by me. I am dedicated to getting to that point, but it's certainly not going to happen any time this month.

It was, perhaps, unwise of me to take Warlords with me when I left Super Genius. It's a significant project that I'll need to tackle without any of the resources SGG had put away for it. But I believe strongly in this project, and am emotionally invested in seeing to it the book is done (and done right), and that everyone who pre-order gets (eventually) the book they were promised.

So while I don't have much to report just now, this is absolutely still on my list of things I am going to do. But again, I don't want to rush it, or produce a cruddy job. So I'm going to need time to get into the groove of running a company on top of everything else I am doing, and then finally turn an eye to scheduling this thing.

I hope I can create something worth the wait. :)

As long as it eventually see's the light of day I will be happy.

And I'm hoping Owen lets me have a stab at working on some of it. :)

Maybe I should take the Opportunist talent in case you do. :)

It seems likely there will be plenty of work to go around.

Actually been playing Fallout New Vegas, picked it up on Black Friday when Steam had it on a steep discount along with Skyrim. But playing FONV has really put me in the mood for a RPG like this. So while eventually is cool, the sooner the better. :)

Will the iconics be a barbarian, a mok and a sorceress? ;)

Was that a Thundarr reference? I feel like that was a Thundarr reference. Didn't the opening credits of that cartoon refer to the world being nearly wiped out in the year 1994?

Good times........

Seriously though, very excited about this product and hoping it makes it to the light of day sometime in the not-too-distant future.

So I was just wondering what is going on with this book with all the changes in your company Owen thanks in advance

I am still planning on producing it. It's one of the things I got the rights to when SGG bought me out. But getting my new company up and running smoothly is taking a considerable amount of time and effort.

Sounds good no rush just wanted to see if this game was still on the table

It would be awesome if this came out around the same time as Occult Adventures...

Still something I work on, and plan to produce.
(sigh)
I had high hopes of getting a lot done over the holidays. I took time off from Paizo and everything. Instead, I got an infected abscess, went to the ER, and have been sick on and off ever since.

Which is particularly annoying, because I had JUST gotten over the rash of colds and flus that started in August.

I've been sick most of the past 8 months, and when I can work, it obviously has to be on things with standard deadlines for my employers, and the colleagues I have deals with that means their income can depend on my keeping up my end of things.

Which is one of the reasons I've never given a deadline for WotA, since I took it over from Super Genius Games.

So sorry, no real news.

Get better. That's the most important thing. Games are games. If you weren't so awesome people wouldn't want you to do stuff. But, this all can wait. Your health can't. Take care and positive wishes!
