A tiefling naturally has electricity resistance 5. If I have a third level tiefling sorcerer that is abyssal blooded, the class grants electricity resistance 5. I'm wondering if these stack with each other.

Not unless it specifically says it stacks with any previous resistance, similarly if your sorcerer casts resist energy (electricity) it would not stack with his natural resistance, you would end up with which ever was higher.

if possible, find an alternate racial trait to trade away that electricity resistance 5, or be a variant background tiefling from Blood of Fiends that grants different resistances. If its not out of line with your character concept.
