Tarn smiles and greets Theodric firmly.

"Ha my good man, i am currently available to the right woman. It seems with all the traveling i have done recently, my schedule is clear... why? did you carry the note of a particular lady?"

The title in the Field Guide specifically does not come with a land grant.

Field Guide page 23 wrote:
"Among the many hereditary nobles in Taldor, your title means little and grants you few benefits other than an official write declaring it a legitimate title in the Empire of Taldor, signed by Prince Stavian III himself."

So, you don't have to worry about picking any spots when you take this vanity.

I'll have to dig. I swear I read somewhere that they often referenced lands that taldor no longer held. Oh well.

As to duplication of lands... In a corrupt bureaucracy like Taldor, why wouldn't there be multiple copies of worthless titles? :-)

Sovereign Court

awwww man! I wanted Riddleport! :)

Sovereign Court

@ Matthew Morris: yes, I swear I read that to. So from now on, Theodric de LaMontagne is Lord of Riddleport. Yeaahhhhhhhhhhh! ;)

"Ha ha ha! I do not have a note now, but with one quick inquiry to one or two of my innkeeper friends, I can make your dreams come true! ha ha ha! Speaking of note, take a look at this: I'm the Lord of Riddleport it seems. Be a pal and don't tell the pirate Overlord, ha ha ha!"

Sovereign Court

"When I got my title, they told me my estate was in 'Maginary'. But I've looked all over the kingdom and I can't seem to find it."

Sovereign Court

Tarn chuckles.

"no my friend, i do not need an inquiry made on my behalf. I assure you, however i see how seeing to your subjects will be difficult."

Sovereign Court

Theodric laughs. "I think I will be an absentee landlord, and not ever set foot in that hole..." Theodric turns to Lysander, "Want to swap my Riddleport lordship for your 'Maginary' one? ha ha ha!"

Liberty's Edge

Ye do seem ta be tripping over tha damned things here. I was offered three when I came over from tha Shadow. Seems a bit daft ta me ta have more nobles than land. But I were never good at all tha' "lordy and lady" mess anyhow.

Sovereign Court

'Tis true, Sir Rodrik. This whole fake nobility thing will only cheapen our nation, not improve it. But what does a young man who come into money from slaying monsters do here in Taldor? I'm guessing they get titles..."

Theodric sighs...

"I heard that in Andoran they award military ranks to deserving Pathfinder agents, as a sign of recognition and cooperation with the Society's international efforts against evildoers. I'd be more comfortable with that I think..."

Sovereign Court

"I'm sorry, but it just wouldn't be much of a fair trade if I were to give you a land that I don't even know the location of in exchange for one known to be pro-asparagus. In any case, I'm also a banner-man for the Taldan Phalanx, so I guess that gives me something else to think about in the meantime."

Sovereign Court

"What's an asparagus? does it do more damage against undead?"

Sovereign Court

"When something is pro-asparagus, that means it is making a lot of money. Since Riddleport is a place of trade, that means that it is a place that makes a lot of money, so therefore it is pro-asparagus."

Sovereign Court

"Hmmm I see... I was half-expecting you'd go into an agricultural rant about some extra dimensional vegetable from another Prime Material plane, or something... hahaha!"

Sovereign Court

"I don't get it, what do vegetables grown in the plains have to do with any of this?"

Sovereign Court

"i believe he is speaking about other planes of existence... like the positive material plane, or the seven heavens..."

Sovereign Court

"So Riddleport is pro-green vegetable, yes? would you gentlemen care to join me in a trade expedition? setting up contracts for a few charter companies in Taldor and such, for a royalty. Think of the kids! or aging parents... you know all your cash will accompany you to the grave in the form of magic items so let's do this one for those that will be left behind shall we?"

a club consisting of the following entry requirements: noble (taldor) vanity + caravan ownership vanity + country estate vanity? :)

Sovereign Court

Ok it's official for Theodric... Country Estate with Seneschal (Butler), Caravan, and Noble Title vanities have been acquired! :) Of course, also Lion Blade and Height of Fashion... :) My low Cha fighter has now maxed his ranks in Disguise and with the Hat of Disguise, can now infiltrate things!!! :) (+20 to Disguise makes up for low stealth I say!)
