Aura of Prescience question...

Rules Questions

...and a question that applies to similarly worded Wizard auras:

Aura of Prescience (Su)
At 8th level, you can emit a 30-foot aura of void energy for a number of rounds per day equal to your wizard level. Allies within this aura gain a +2 insight bonus on ability checks, attack rolls, damage rolls, saving throws, and skill checks. These rounds do not need to be consecutive.

What type of action is it to initiate or end the aura? I would assume a free or a swift action, no?

All supernatural abilities are standard actions unless the action is stated, so it's standard.

Hey, coming back to this thread because I was about to ask the same question. So it's a standard action to activate. Is that a standard action every round you want to use it, or a standard action to turn it on? If the latter, what kind of action, if any, is it to turn it off?

This power seems like it would be really useful as a free action, and nearly totally worthless if it takes a standard action every round you keep it up.

Liberty's Edge

I've been assuming that it is a standard action to activate, and then at the start of your next round you use a free action to either maintain or dismiss the Aura.
