Light Up Miniature Campfires

Miniatures

2 people marked this as a favorite.

My friend Jim and I have been making some light up resin cast miniature campfires for use in our campaigns. It mainly started as a for us thing, but the way we made them allowed us to make a bunch more, so we are trying to see what interest there is in these things.

We have pictures, a video, and info at Two Bugbears we also have some other terrain on there that Jim made and he is selling on ebay.

These are SWEET!

So Sweet I ordered 2 for my group

Glad you like them. Jim and are happy to be doing something related a hobby we have both loved for such a long time!

That's pretty sweet. :)

I bought a campfire and 4 of the boards on eBay and l am very happy with the result. I am adding trees and static grass clumps to the boards and they are turning out well. Jim told me he is working on gridded hills. I have searched extensively for terrain with the grid and these guys are the only ones making a decent product suitable for outdoor settings.

Hey Brody, thanks for the kind words. I am working on making those hills happen sooner than later, the other side of life found me for the Holidays and the month after.

We have now created quite a few new items, light up, pulsating crystals, and a huge bonfire, which also lights up like our campfire.

Also, we created a campfire from the same mold as our others, but we used orange dyed resin for the flames instead of painted flames.

You can see these on our website linked in the first post (that might not be upto date until later tonight) or go straight to our ebay store to see them all.

Wow that is cool. Definitely going to have to give that stuff a closer look.

I just checked out the website and I think the campfire 2.0 looks better. Nice job. Any thought given to a wall of fire piece?

Oh, and the bonfire looks fantastic...as soon as I have some more disposable income I will be ordering....

We are actually thinking quite a bit about the wall of fire, but we have a couple of problems. A wall of fire can get so large, especially at very high levels, that it uses a lot of material in making it, and even more electronics to light it.

We have not given up on the idea, but are having to think of some different ways to do it, simply because casting so many lit resin pieces would get prohibitively expensive that most likely people would not be too interested in purchasing one.

Thanks again,
Jim
