NEW CHARACTER!

Like many lava gnomes, Doctor Krolmnite lived with others of his own kind in massive caverns underneath an active volcano and shared a great love of all things fire.

Then his home blew up.

Dr. Krolmnite - 11th-level gnome artificer, doctor, master alchemist, and pyromaniac

Not only does Dr. Krolmnite aspire to start a golem workshop franchise someday, he excels at blasting things, crafting things, fixing things, and healing people.

Quite a lot for a humble follower of Saranrae!

And if that wasn't enough, he has four rune-carved alchemical golem servitors. Between the five of them, their bombs and empowered fireball can deal an average of about 180 damage in a single round!

But wait, there's more! Dr. Krolmnite's mundane and magical healing abilities are such that he can perform the Treat Deadly Wounds action as a full-round action, without a healing kit, to heal 4x the target's HD in hit points and 4 ability damage elevent times per day, even if already used on the same target! (This is from his Healer's Hands and Signature Skill: Heal feats.) Further, twice per day, he can also use his supernatural cleansing flame ability to heal damage and remove a variety of horrible afflictions and conditions.

Other than all that, he's essentially got the personality of that crazy inventor, Dr. Wily, from Megaman. :P

Enjoy!

If you guys emulate Dr. Krolmnite in your own characters, I might recommend selecting the Empyreal sorcerer bloodline instead. I chose differently because I wanted a pyromanic eccentric who could blast things well.

However, the Empyreal bloodline fits the healing aspects of the build better. It grants Heal as a class skill, grants you some limited channel energy healing (which can be expanded upon with feats such as Extra Channeling, or items such as a malleable symbol or phylactery of positive channeling). More importantly though, it switches your primary spellcasting attribute from Charisma to Wisdom, allowing you to pump your Heal checks modifier much further than you could with a normal sorcerer (important for hitting that DC 30 benchmark in the Healer's Hands feat). It fits better with his gnomish heritage too (since gnomes are essentially immigrants from the First World, where the Empyreal host resides).

I'm a little sad there haven't been any new crazy characters for so long.

I would like everyone everyone to introduce my newest creation, Bumi Mei Fong (aka, BMF!).

BMF is a hulking hurler build capable of dishing out the following...
+23/+23/+23/+18/+13 (2d4+26 plus 1d4 bleed/17-20, auto-confirm)
...with rocks. (It was a big rock!)...out to a range of 200 feet (250 feet if not taking a full attack, up to 120 feet with no penalties, and only -3 penalty at max range).
A big thanks to Cao Phen for for inspiring me and for coming up with the original build.

... no longer works. did Bumi Mei Fong go bye-bye?

There have been over 40 new characters in the last year or so.

It's just that most of them are Starfinder characters...

I am Nemesis wrote:

No. He and all the other characters are still around. Most of the individual links stop working at some point as files get modified or moved around. For consistency's sake you will want to use THE MASTER LINK in the very first post, as that will take you to the character repository, where you can access all of the characters at once.

Man. I thought that thread was LONG dead. I didn't realize people were even still posting to it.

I'll take a look at some of the 2019 posts, but I make absolutely no promises. I have a lot less time than I used to. In any case, it was supposed to be a community effort; not just me doing all the requests alone.

Zilfrel Findadur wrote:

Yep. Sorry things have been so slow lately. My focus has been kind of on Starfinder for the last year. Now with Pathfinder 2.0 coming out, I'm not sure if I will keep making 1.0 characters. I suppose it depends on community interest and whether or not the mood strikes me.

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING PATHFINDER 2.0

As for Pathfinder 2.0, I'll probably pick up the Core set to check it out, but at this time, neither my friends or I are seriously considering it. The playtest material reminded us way too much of D&D 4E and 5E for our tastes, and we have too much investment in the original Pathfinder to just chuck it aside. We've only seriously played 4 or 5 adventure paths out of the dozen or so we have. There are dozens of books on my shelves with gobs of rules material that we haven't even begun to scratch the surface of yet!

But who knows? If my friends keep playing Pathfinder 1.0 (the more likely option at the moment), I will probably keep posting characters here (though the rate at which I do so can vary wildly as I only do so as inspiration strikes me). If something happens that makes us want to play 2.0 instead, I will probably start a "Ravingdork's Crazy Character Emporium 2.0" thread and start posting 2.0 characters there. Heck, I might do that anyways just to see what the rules allow me to do (though it may not last long if my friends don't actively start having games).

We'll see where the wind takes us. Regardless of where we end up, I hope to see you all there (whether we be grognards or cutting edge roleplayers). In any event, I fully intend to keep creating and posting characters of some sort or another, somewhere; so keep checking back every once in a while to stay apprised!

I think it would be nice to add two files to the gallery:

Nice! Thank you for doing that.

The closest I've ever gotten to this level of over-the-top awesomeness (and insanity) is a doc I made that's filled with a bunch of multiclass/prestige class characters. I was DETERMINED to make multiclassing viable, and mix in backstory and flavor along with it.

I commend you for your work here. Very impressive.

Just found this thread... Wow! What an amazing cast of characters & ideas! Thanks!

If you do something in an Ashiftah Witch or using the (Puluran) Stargazer PrC would be interesting to see

This is still so wonderful.

I really need to organize my all my characters im a similar fashion.

The artwork for some of these are awesome... like where do you even find a picture of a Kobold riding a scorpion?

Most of the artwork was discovered on either Pinterest or DeviantArt. Lately, I've also grown fond of ArtStation. That particular image I believe was done by Wood Illustration on DeviantArt.
