CHARACTER UPDATE
- Grigori Keon Chul (aka Father Grigori), made major changes to feats, gear, and skills--including a new character bio and a glimpse at his fanatical hoard of followers

ANNOUNCEMENT
I'm going to start adding links to the characters whenever I update them. That way you don't have to search the thread for them all over again just to see what has changed (though the older links will also feature the new updates).

Sweet! Thank you so much!

Are you my only fan these days?

*Takes the Leadership feat and declares Azaelas Fayth as cohort*

Hey now I've been waiting for you to make some more characters but you haven't :(

"It will cost you 2,000 GP a month for me and my army Mi'Lord."

Starts Building Ajax The Great, Myrmidon Officer using a 25 PBS.

Hmm... I wonder what people would price Oversized Weapons & Powerful Build as... I would say 2RP & 4RP respectively.

He is not your only fan these days, however, I do not usually take care to post. This is very interesting, and I have been following for sometime. However, I cannot find the link to these characters, other than the ones in the first post. If you could link, it would be much appreciated.

Did you miss Mr. Gla--er, the Cracked Man?

Fixed numerous errors to Father Grigori. :|

Wasn't there a 20th level copy of Yiankun Lee floating around? I know you had one with Echingo Spell at one point. I distinctly remember counting the number of times she could cast Flesh to Stone and was like O.O

Also, where is the Amulet of Proof Against Petrification?

Definitely not the only fan.

He may be your most active fan, RD, but I think I'm your only self-proclaimed Fanboi so far. :P

Absolutely not the only fan- love the characters!

Yes and no. I designed one for a competitive online competition, however, I have not released the stats to the public yet due to the competitive nature of the event.

Hey there, been reading some of the characters, really cool and cool of you to post them.

I am really intrigued by a goblin ninja. I was wondering if you already made one and I missed it or if you haven't if you might bend you're mind towards one.

I did read Grunk who is similar to what I am looking for.

Anything with the Android or Ghoran races?

I had not heard of either of those races until a few days ago when I bought the Inner Sea Bestiary.

No, I have neither as of yet, but I plan on making an android at some point. The ghoran look interesting too.

ANNOUNCEMENT
The Fourth Edition Edition of Ravingdork's Crazy Character Emporium is now closed! Apologies to all who utilized it, but I need the server space to keep this Emporium going. Also...

TWO NEW AND UNUSUAL CHARACTERS!
I laboriously worked at making these just so I'd have something to give out today. So you all better damn wel--er, I hope you enjoy them a great deal. ;D

By Request:

Loryust - 5th-level lizardfolk ambusher, scaly guide and bounty hunter known for stalking prey and setting elaborate ambushes

Noka Muun - 14th-level android pirate, salvaged synthesized life-form swept out to sea and turned knife-chucking pirate

Where do you get your artwork?

Also am I missing something on how Noka can get so many attacks with his Butterfly Sword?

I have a question about macellano alamander: How do he have bravery 1?

I'm friends with a lot of the artists over on DeviantArt and so I get a lot of it from there.

Azaelas Fayth wrote:

The attack lines were a holdover error from the previous monk character I based this character sheet off of. Fixed now.

Crap. He's not nearly as cool as I thought he was. Though I like the flavor, this character makes me realize how crappy monks can be. BEFORE the fix, he only had a DPR of about 40 and could beat an onpar CR encounter in about 5 rounds. That was BEFORE. :(

Nicos wrote:

Because Lore Warden gives up Bravery 1, but not 2, 3, 4, or 5. The result is a delayed/reduced Bravery ability.

All he needs is Quick Draw, Throw Anything feats, and additional Butterfly Swords. Probably save you some gold as well.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

But then any attacks he makes would be improvised. Among other things, it would limit him to 20/x2 crit (and possibly even prevent him from using the enhancement bonuses).

Furthermore, it would eat up feats he doesn't really have.

EDIT: I probably should have just made him a fighter...

...but I have SO many fighters already... :|

Actually, He still has to many attacks...

He would only have the +22 attacks when flurrying at Range.

As he only has one Butterfly Sword.

Hmm... Maybe a Knife Master Rogue would have been better...

Strangely... The PFRPG description of the Butterfly Sword has them shorter than any I have seen... And it should really say they are a Double Weapon...

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

He has a pair of +3 throwing butterfly swords, not just one.

And when flurrying, he is treated as though he has full base attack bonus and is duel-wielding as though he had Improved Two-Weapon Fighting.

So, at BAB +14, he gets 3 attacks. +2 more for Flurry, and that leaves him with 5.

It looks right to me.

Hmm, You know they don't specify you need a free hand to seperate them...

But you would still only be able to get 4 attacks...

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

A pair of butterfly swords, though generally bought in pairs, are still two separate weapons.

Why only four attacks? Flurry SPECIFICALLY gives you extra attacks. It's kinda the whole point.

20 gold gets you a matching pair.

for 40 gold you can get 2 matching pairs.

But you only can throw 4 total blades per turn. And then you will be able to catch 2 and the other two would fall to the ground.

Total of 4 attacks. Unless you have a feat I missed that somehow causes the blade to comeback to you before the next turn.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Ah, I see now, that's what the blinkback belt is for. It makes them appear back on the belt in time for the next attack (not the next round).

Although, now that I think about it, I may need Quickdraw after all. *sigh*

May have to redo this one from the ground up if this keeps up.

As for the payment, you can buy a pair together (only 320gp for a mwk pair), but you still have to enchant them separately. Effectively, I paid 32,160gp for each one.

I know that. Blinkback Belt...

My Ajax build just found an excellent item...

But yeah you would need Quickdraw.

Though how would the Blinkback Belt work with it... Would both halves teleport back at once and come back together or what.

Also you might look at the Lungchuan Tamo instead...

Which seems like it should fit in with the pricing of the Butterfly Sword.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Both halves? What? They are treated as two separate weapons for all purposes except base/mwk pricing.

If I throw one, it springs back to the belt, if I hold the other in hand, it stays in hand, just as if I was wielding two daggers, or short swords.

Hmm, Seems I was reading it wrong sorry.

It does allow you to draw the sword as a single weapon...

Yes it does, very cool for anyone who doesn't have TWF or QD.

I guess that explains why it is good for monks. To bad they have to jump through hoops to get proficiency with it.

Also Would one be able to wield them stuck together as a single weapon but have each half have different special properties for a net of +15 enhancements?

Mechanically speaking (as opposed to real life) I don't think it works like that. Like other weapons, you are generally limited to one hand-held weapon per hand.

So you would only be able to choose which one you use.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber
Azaelas Fayth wrote:

Yes, unless you choose to duel-wield, in which case you use the rules for two-weapon fighting.

Hmm, that could lead to some odd interactions... one round have Speed Next round Shocking Burst and Such.

Hmm, would one need Called on both of them or just one to be able to call both to your Hand if they were connected together?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

You would need it on both. To my knowledge, they CAN'T be connected together. They are two separate weapons.

Then it really isn't like its real life counterpart as they tend to have a type of Half-Moon Connector to where they can be wielded as a 2-1/2 Foot Broadsword or seperated into two thin and lighter Blades.

I'd be interested in someone building a striker build probably incorporating alchemist/barbarian and if possible dragon disciple to raise strength a ridiculous amount while using natural weapons.

Nice Android Pirate!

Offer is still out for Breadcrumbs the Kobold Cook.

Nudel the Protector - are the "hurled tail spikes" coming from the "+0 furious throwing amulet of mighty fists"?

Yiankun Lee has an Amulet of Proof Against Petrification, but I can't find this item. Is it a custom item or from an older edition?
