I sort of need help

Pathfinder Society

I'm new to pathfinders society, but I've been playing pathfinders for a long time. I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is a legal build or not and if so how I can fix it. The heirloom weapon I chose was the syringe spear, and I was wondering if I could purchase poisons before or after campaigns and how I would go about using this type of weapon. In the past I've never used throwing weapons or melee characters so I though something like this would be a nice change of pace from my norm.
My archetype is black-blood and my mystery is metal with steel scarf and dance of blades being my first 2 revelations. Also I chose like the wind, and Breeze-kissed as alternate racial traits.

I didn't look too in depth with this, but here's my thoughts just glancing over:

So, you may want to rethink the Syringe spear, if you're thinking of using poisons unless they appear on a Chronicle sheet, which is fairly rare. They've limited purchase of poisons to classes with the Poison Use class feature and Poisoner Rogues. See this FAQ

Second, what race are you? Your stats look like they are a little low for a human, but works for an Elf. If you're human, assuming you put your +2 racial bump from being human into STR or CHA, you've only spent 17 out of your 20 points for stat buy. You could put some of that into CON or something to help you survive a little better. It looks like you've chosen Elf for a race, perhaps? In that case, it works fine for point buy.

Some people swear by having at least 12 CON for front-line fighters though. I'm not sure how close in you plan on playing though. If you've got a spear, I'm guessing you were planning on being somewhere near front lines.

The poisons you are allowed to purchase are listed in the FAQ.

They are expensive though, and you probably won't get a chance to buy any until you have a couple levels under your belt.

Looks good though.

The Exchange 4/5

First things first. You need a boon to play a Slyph, do you have a con boon?

poisons are pricey, but some are legal, as Andrew pointed out.

otherwise it looks good.

Checking the Additional Resources Document: You must have the SECOND printing of the Adventurer's Armory (or the first printing PLUS the errata) for the Syringe Spear and the Heirloom Weapon trait.

Errata found in the errata download

I was more thinking of using the blackblood in the spear and I wasn't aware the spear was illegal or that poisons are so rare.

the race was sylph and everything is completely workable I was just thinking that was the general setup I wanted.Whats a con boon?

The Exchange 4/5

They give out boons are conventions, like gencon and paizo con. That's how you play additional races.

The always legal races are; Tiefling, Aasimar, Tengu, and the core races.

Oh... that's kind of disappointing, do you know when they give out the sylph boon, besides ratfolk and goblin, sylph is my favorite race.

The Exchange 4/5

unfortunately the boons are secret until the con begins :-/

Well thanks for the help and advice, but do you think it would be possible to fill the syringe spear with black blood when it becomes a splash weapon?

The Exchange 4/5

i'm not really sure, I would say that it deals the extra 1d6 cold damage, but it's not the most clear thing ever, so your mileage may vary.

Draining your own blood into a spear to stab people with it is pretty cool though. I would just carry some flasks of acid and use those for the acid damage.

Injecting them wouldn't count as consuming, so no 3d6+1 con damage, but it would do the 1d6 contact damage.

Okay Thanks, Im going to have to save this one for a rainy day I guess.
