I met Don and Mike for the first time earlier this year at PAX East. I flew out to Boston, had an amazing dinner with the two of them and Don's lovely wife at this fine restaurant. The next few days were a blur of combats, scenarios, and playing Pathfinder with table after table of new faces. I remember one night that we stayed "open" for our tables for a good two to three hours after the rest of the convention hall had closed down, because we had so many people interested in PFS.
Don toted with him a large suitcase stuffed to the brim with ziplock packets, each filled with a scenario, cardstock faction missions, and any requisite miniatures or maps required for the game. I was stunned at his level of commitment to the game. Even after a second PAX this year with more great GMs, and the countless amazing people I met at Paizocon, Don still strikes me as one of the most dedicated people in PFS.
At the end of the convention, Don, I, and others cleaned up the play area and talked about PFS in our various areas. He was the first person to suggest that I should consider helping out as a VL, and his exemplary performance at PAX East helped me make the right decision a few weeks later.
So thanks again Don, and congratulations! You've earned it!
What in the 9 Hells? How did you get past the traps? We're going to need to hire additional contractor to help adding on to this place. Either that or we're going to have to push a few back down the mountain.
Congrats. I think. *interacts with Don to see if he's an illusion*
Will Save: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (4) - 3 = 1
Edit: Clearly he's not an illusion. "Todd, make room. We've got a live one over here!"

FWIW, at Gen Con, there's usually at least a handful of us chained to tables in the PFS room at any given time.
If I can get you the keys to those chains will you distract the Yeti for me?...

Sure. Just as soon as you can prove to me that you know how to keep track of initiative. ;-)
