IA! IA!!

The date of prophecy draws near! As the turn of the year approaches, a New Age draws nigh! Come, let us celebrate the end of the world as it is known, and the coming of the new madness!

IA! IA!! Let the Stars be Right!!

Huzzah!

I'm going to bring a casserole.

What should I bring?

Virgins of all genders, various sacred/blasphemous texts, a cooler chock full of your preferred tasty beverages and an assortment of mini-onions.

I'll be bringing a potato salad

I should pick something to bring from home...

...EVERYTHING!!

Now it is time to lay your final wagers on how the Great Old Ones will bring an end to this miserable little ball of rock and water.

Shall they smash it with a comet or another planet?

Shall they incinerate it with a solar pulse?

Shall they rewire its poles in reverse?

Shall they divert a conduit between it and a nearby black hole?

Shall they bombard it with energized particles?

Shall they initiate a supernova?

Or shall they simply rise from their slumbering vaults and descend from the dark places between the stars and take claim of what is theirs?

WE SHALL SEE!! IA! IA!!

I'm not sure, MissingNo, but I think the answer has something to do with Honey Boo Boo.

The last, once reality TV has softened the brains of a sufficient proportion of the mewling masses.

Nah, can't be that soon, I just reaped a bunch of re-annual peppers.

Am I the only one who, upon seeing the title of the thread, thought it was about that God-only-knows-why-it-was-popular song from the '90s by Europe?

Of course, the quality of that song could also be considered a sign of the end of the world...

If Nyarlathotep is runnin' to get there, must be a happenin' scene!

You just said "my hovercraft is full of eels" in R'lyehian.

It is! Look! *dumps eels with far too many eyes and heads at both ends into the thread*

If I knew it was this kinda party, I woulda stuck my tentacle in the mashed potatoes!

That's what I like to do at parties.

June, you tease you!

Huzzargh! We are within the final days, the last hours! Let the stars be right!

All Cthluhu wants for Christmas is your front-al lobe, your front-al lobe ...

What if it's overcast? How will we know if the stars are right?

The mewling masses of flesh won't start screaming as early?

We'll know ... it's a Mythos thing ...

As if a few wisps of planetary fog could stop the lords of all space and time anyway.

Sorry...

*goes back to making hors d'oeuvres*

I brought Zima. That's a horrorifying thing right?

Sweet, where's the mayor of cantown. That guy is awesome. *Installs server Beta*

Meanwhile, when I saw the title of my brain went in a different direction...

"We're leaving together, but still we farewell."

Grunkle Stan! There's a crazy dog out here! Can I have it?

I'll bring a platter of hors d'oeuvres... EVIL HORS D'OEUVRES!!!

Mwah! Ha! Ha!

Uh oh. This isn't good. I hope some one puts a note on me recruiting brave souls to stop this.

Somebody had better make sure the shoggoths keep out of the punch! You know what they are like when they have had a few!

Mwah! Ha! Ha!

I hope they go well with my vegetable tray. I brought hummus.

So...where's the safest place to view The End of the World-- as close as possible to a Mayan ziggurat, or as far from one as possible... like the Moon, or Pluto?

The view should be nice from Chichen Itza.

Clearly you haven't heard about the ziggurat on the moon.

I hear there's a Restaurant at the End of the Universe; I don't think the theme would quite fit this thread, though.

The Awakening draws nigh!

DAWN OF THE SECOND DAY

TWO DAYS REMAINING

So when do the sacrifices start? I'm hungry.

Great Young One wrote:

I brought taco dip!

looks at watch

Come on, already! Can't we get this thing moving? I've got some strange aeons that are about to expire.

Spicy, Mild, or Eldritch?

Soon, perhaps, we will be capering and dancing 'neath gibbous moons whilst Things cleanse the planet of sanity, hope and joy.

Soon, perhaps, we shall rejoice in Their awakenings and returnings.

Ia! Ia!

Salty!

Do any of you have a young virgin I can borrow for the ritual sacrifice? Perhaps "borrow" is the wrong word... Mine seems to have escaped, and there are only 3 hours remaining until the Stars Are Right.

Thanks!
