Can you make a Half-Construct+Half-Undead race using the ARG?

Rules Questions

Just wanted a rules clarification. In the text on page 216 concerning Special Subtypes: Half-construct and Half-Undead it says that
"these subtypes can be added to any of the race types except for
construct and undead."
Is this to say that I cannot make a half-construct, Half-undead race, (Think a race of undead that prolongs their lives via magical apparatus or augmentation.) or that I cannot double up on these subtypes (i.e a creature that is Construct AND half-construct, thereby granting both qualities)?
I'm leaning towards the latter, since that makes the most sense as far as rule redundancy and clarification.
Thoughts?

You could do that, I see no problem rules wise. I think the point was that a full undead would never be a half construct like wise a construct couldn't be half undead.

Not sure of the rule, but I LOVE the idea of half construct half undeads... they would be AWESOME!

Rise the Necrons.

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

I made a homebrew race based on the scions Frankenstein's monster and his bride in the Arctic, inspired by the flatheads from Joe Abercrombie's series. It was half-undead and half-construct (constructed from dead body parts). Alchemy and barbarism mixed together.

Love the flavour. I hereby call them Necromatons... Yeah!

Zombie Constructs need to be a thing.

Very Steampunkish... or perhaps like an arcane version of the Borg.

I did some work on this. I used the Cryx. However I am having some technical issues. On saves. How does it work. Do they use will? Do they use Fort? if they are immune to mind effects because they are a hive mind, how does that work?

Half-undead, Half-construct isn't a new concept.

Liberty's Edge

soulbound dolls from Curse of the Crimson Throne are kinda like undead. They have a spirit bound to them and could work as a race.
