Both candidates have stated that they think it is something that should be decided by the states. So you will have to deal with this no matter who is elected. Some states may current support your marriage choice, I would seek to have your marriage occur in these states.
This is a narrow view. First, as has been pointed out, DOMA still exists and the current President has - in a rare move for the Executive branch - instructed his officials not to defend it.
Second, and far more importantly, this is a rights issue that may well eventually be decided by the Supreme Court, perhaps even within the next few months. The next President will likely have the responsibility of appointing multiple Supreme Court justices, potentially shifting the balance of the court for an entire generation.
The current court's decisions have done more to shape my vote than either candidate or even party has with billions in advertising.
I simply do not like the direction this court has moved our country in.
If I don't want to get in a war for stupid nationalistic reasons?
War is an extension of Politics. Politics are an extension of economics. Every war in history was fought for an Economic reason. The other reasons touted by the media/church/kings whoever, is just dribble for the sheeple.
At least that's how it was taught to me by my macro economics professor.

No. But is Obama a good president? This is a definitive 'yes'. He is one of the rare few politicans in this generation that seem to genuninely care about the job thier doing. Obamacare like it or not is something that I personally like because I believe our governments #1 Prime concern is the health and safety of the people. We should have had free health care a century ago. He is also trying to do what only FDR could and get a 'new' new deal going to repair the damage Bush Jr.'s admenistration did to this country. (And who's many policies would return under Romney and Ryan.)
He has spoke out for women's rights and the rights of the gay and lesbian community (which took balls of steel to do), and has tried to reach accross the aisle, only getting pushy a rare few times.
Overall he is LG person in my book.
Now I'm a liberal, a gun owning liberal, but liberal nontheless, so I'll say what keeps him from being great. He has abandoned fights way to early (Jobs Bill, Dream Act, etc.) to appease the whole, and he has indured a lot of hate from racists, bigots, and has had so many lies told about him and his policies, without ever once, calling BS on it, instead letting a few voices in the dark defend him.
Hopefully he will get a second term, jobs are on the rise, the Koch brothers (true LE right there.) will be out a lot of money. And 'if' they can get a democrat majority he will show some spine and get the progressive legislation through. Overall I'd rank him top ten but not number one.

It would have been better if Obama had left the last Space Shuttle in Space- Forever. If there Is life out there I would like to think that long after we are gone - they would Find a Space Shuttle docked at a Space Station with an Archive of who we were.Further proof that the average Sci Fi fanboy is a near total ignorant idiot when it comes to science.
The Shuttle has a maximum orbit range of 300+ miles. Orbital decay at that height is less than ten years during a period of Solar Max as spectacularly shown by the fall of Skylab. Furthermore things simply left in orbit degrade into new sources of space junk as micrometorite hits take their toll. An abandoned shuttle would only become a source of space junk to threathen other working orbital installations.
That's why when it's decided that the International Space Station has served it's purpose, it will be de-orbited in a controlled manner to crash in that area of the Pacific Ocean, which has been designated as a satellite "graveyard".

I wouldn't call Dingo a liar - I would suggest that Dingo experiences a state of reality beyond that of normal humanity, combined with the compulsive urge to stir s~!!.
Also he has found an easy mark... Americans are easily spun into fits of rage when politics is the topic. I am sure the Dingo is having a good chuckle as it looks like the bonfire he built has achieved combustion.
As a questionably sane Australian I adopt the national opinion on politics and politicians "they are all useless scumbags, left/right/green/country it doesn't matter they are incompetent lairs unless they prove otherwise".

The USA is pretty much damned if we do, damned if we don't when it comes to foreign policy. As much s~%! as we take for assuming the role of the world's police, if we were to stop, we would take just as much s+$#.
Personally, I could go for a few years of near-isolationist policy. Tell the Middle East that we aren't going to screw with them...but that we also aren't going to hold Israel's leash, etc.
