the ring
Its official as soon as it comes in the mail.
Family can't know yet, but I had to tell someone!

Sapphires? Good choice! That's what I went with. Although I didn't go for the doctor who theme :)

Also congratulations!

Shadow Lodge

Very pretty. Congratulations.

[Crosses Nepherti off the list of potential Paizo girlfriends]

Congrats!

Uh..Congratulations? Have you been proposed to or are you REALLY into Doctor Who?

Is it both? If so then, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Its both. It was wierd, cause last month on vacation, my mother was constantly referring to him as her "future son-in-law" even though he hadn't popped the question yet. Then we found this ring last night and he saw how much I loved it, and I never swoon.

Should there be a tardis or a dalek on the cake, and should the ushers wear fez's? What color goes good with blue?

Oh, I'm giddy.

Taldor

Silver, white and charcoal go well with blue. That's how I pick ties.

Never thought of charcoal for a wedding, but I like. Maybe accented with silver, so blue, charcoal, and a little silver or white.

Charcoal and a teal blue go very well together. Silver, white and amazingly enough rose red accents offset nicely.

For the wedding cake I recommend teal and white with rose red for splash.

For the groom's cake, I recommend a Dalek pointing its plungers at a 'groom action figure' with "exterminated on xx/xx/xxxx".

^_____^

Congradulations Nepherti !!! May you both have a long and happy life together!

Congrats and a VERY cool and truly lovely ring. Have y'all decided on a date, or with a time lord theme is the date relative? ;)

Have to admit I have a soft spot for sapphires ... and Doctor Who ain't too shabby either. ;)

No date, ring is still on order. Its more than likely a ways off. He needs to finish his Masters first.

Congratulations on ring and engagement both.

Or *gasp* hench(wo)man.

We'll yet have to see who will be the main character in this series and who'll be delegated to the role of companion.

Well, technically, Nepherti is going to be the one with the Tardis ...

May he have the spirit of the Centurion. That should he wait two thousand years each year shall be as dedicated and filled with love as the last.

Or something not Dr. Who ralated:

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

I wanted to post a Sailor Moon quote but I couldn't find one.

Here's one of my faves:

"How will I ever explain to my friends why I have tire tracks down my back?"

I must be subtly geeky around my folks.
another tardis dress

But I still may want a dalek topper. :-D

Very nice dress!

Remember, the groom's cake is where it is acceptable to get "crazy" with the Dalek topper.

Keep the folks happy with a more traditional wedding cake ... let the groom's cake be the silly one.

You and your hubby can enjoy the inside joke as to who the "groom's" cake is really for. ;)

EDIT:

For a unique chapel to get married in, take a gander at where Missus Turin and I got hitched. The place is absolutely gorgeous mid-to-late spring and probably again in mid-autumn when the leaves turn.

Congratulations!

I may be able to get away with a but more than normal, we are both SCAdians. That's how we met. He may not wear a traditional tux, more of a fancy tunic. if I can find a design that looks 'normal'. Maybe go a bit renaissance with the suit. He wants to get away with wearing a sword. I'm not stopping him. His mother might.

Whoa, that is awesome looking.

After more research, that dress is an Alfred Angelo within our budget. I'll have to find out if a shop near here has one I can try on, I don't like buying something without trying it on first.

Awesome ring! Awesome dress! Congrats Nepherti.

Whoa, that is awesome looking.

It's even better in person. I'll root around and see what I can find about where we went on our honeymoon and the cool places in the area.

There's some REALLY neat stuff out there!

Oh, and I'll be sure to linkify the butt-kicking bakery that did our cakes when I do all of this stuff.

I'm hoping Nepherti gets some ideas from these. ^_____^

EDIT: Unless Nepherti isn't interested, of course. Then I'll dribble them in one of my CJ's.
