The Create Gear power of the wizard's Creation sub-school reads:

Spoiler:
At 1st level, you can create any object that weighs no more than 1 pound per wizard level you possess. Creating an object in this way is a standard action. The Item remains for 1 minute before fading away, although it disappears after one round if it leaves your possession. Creating an Item to an exact specification might require a Craft skill check, subject to GM discretion. The object must be made of simple materials, such as wood, stone, glass, or metal, and cannot contain any moving parts. You could use this ability to create a dagger, but not a vial of alchemist’s fire. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier.

I'm planning to use this ability in PFS, but I can't find any guide to what the Craft DCs might be (or even which craft skill to use for various items!) I'm planning on making mostly tools - will Craft (Tool) basically cover everything, or will I need more specific craft skills?

For example, how can I estimate the approximate DC for:

Hammer (5 sp)

Mirror (10 gp)

Masterwork Thieves' Tools (100 gp)

Spyglass (1000 gp)

I think this is a really neat ability in principle, but the fact that it seems to be deliberately vague is making it difficult to foresee how it will play out in PFS! Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm very keen on trying out this character!

Well the rule for the subschool specifically says that any craft DC is up to GM discretion. So you can't really expect to know ahead of time what they'll be. This is just going to be one of those things that's risky to use in PFS, I'm afraid.

You could try looking at the craft skill itself, specifically the last 4 lines of the DC table.

Very simple item (wooden spoon) DC 5
Typical item (iron pot) DC 10
High-quality item (bell) DC 15
Complex or superior item (lock) DC 20

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 16

Personally, I'd set the bar a little higher than that. For something like a spyglass, which requires precise, calculated dimensions, I think a DC of 30 is more appropriate. A lock (or even a bell for that matter) contains moving parts, so it would be impossible.
