Ok I am trying to put this thing together, and need some advise about the map.
1. Once the party negotiates the belfry it says they descend from it the 'b' on the map. This is not noted - where is this supposed to be?
2. Area 4, the doors to the north lead off to....what? the same area as describd as beyond the scope of the mod in area 3? full of hobgoblins/whatever? Or just a big empty room ?

That map is a bit tricky.

Spoiler:
The party emerges on the right middle side of the map. There is a door which opened on to the walkway around the dome. It is tan on the map. Behind the doore is an empty square and a staircase. That is where the party arrives from above.

Spoiler:
The map is showing two levels at the same time. The doors of area 3 open into area 4. Area 5 is directly above area 4. The spiral staircase provides a means of access between the two. The doors from area 4 lead to the outside.
theres something else i noticed, in the dormitory quarters, with all the Q's on the map.
Spoiler:
the text describing the map mentions secret doors. maybe i have an old copy and need to download it again and it was updated. but i didn't see any secret doors on the map... every time i run this, i end up taking one or two shots from stealth then having the hobgoblin rogues flee to the room with Helga and either chug invisibility potions or just square off with their bows on the door.
The map in that scenario is awful. Actually, I found the whole scenario to be pretty awful. (Yes, I reviewed it.)
My advice--and I'm not being snotty, this is my actual advice--would be to avoid this scenario. Don't run it, don't play it. If you must, the GM just has to make decisions about how they want it to work, because as written, it simply doesn't.
