Okay, I put a fairly basic map together according to LM's descriptions. I tried to follow character placement based on what people were saying but I might have gotten things wrong. Let me know with an OOC comment in the gameplay thread if you need something corrected.

I think Elen is going to try to convince Ruul to wear a kilt, and make him one if he agrees. That'd be hot, and be generally more 'civilized' than a loincloth. But seriously, men in kilts are hot.

Hmm, Ruul's stuck to his loincloth because all the other armor and clothing that's come his way has been too binding and chafing, but a kilt isn't too far off from a loincloth so it's possible.

I agree with the kilt thing. I wear one quite often when the wife and I go to ren faires. And to be honest, it's a lot easier to run with your skirt up than with your pants down!

As everyone rolls their initiative scores and tell me their first round actions, I'll build up a round by round summary of actions that occur so that everyone will know what's going on. I'll let Ruul handle the movement phase to update the map and I'll type out the action sequence. At this point, it is safe to say that this will carry over until tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

I'm going to bed soon, so good night. I'll see everyone bright and early tomorrow. I will say that I expect to be busy tomorrow morning, so my posts might be sparse before noon.

It shouldn't be that bad, I am wrapping up our group's month end accounting tomorrow, so I'll be writing some journal entries and sending everything out to our auditor. It's not as bad as it sounds, just a little time consuming.

As a flavor note, I've decided that since Elen learned witchcraft in the Land of the Linnorm Kings, all of her hexes will be in Norwegian. Google Translate Yay!

A quick clarification, LM, if you don't mind. Would it be kosher for Ally to cast a spell of 'Shield', with a target of 'you' on Elen, based on Share Spells? Or does the sharing only go one way?

If she can't do that, I'm going to switch out wands, if that's alright, for a tiny wand of MA strapped to Ally's thigh, and a wand of shield in Elen's wrist sheath.

I know that RAW indicates the sharing is only one way, but really, kinda defeats the purpose of 'sharing.' Also, I think the rule is designed for your basic familiar/companion/etc. It doesn't think about having a sentient, advanced familiar, and how the relationship can benefit both ways. I am ok with Ally sharing back. There is no need to swap out wands, at least for that reason.

The general conventions I've been able to see in PBP is:

Bold alone for posts consisting solely of spoken words.

Bold and quotes for spoken words in the midst of actions.

Italics for thoughts.

I am using bold italic for telepathy.

Sounds reasonable to me. You know, it occurs to me that I should maybe have waited for LM to confirm he's ready to post the Deity's side of things before we began commune... Oh well, it suits Ally's personality anyway, she's pretty impulsive.
