I emailed the folks at Raging Swan, 0One Games and Zombie Sky Press and asked about kicking in one of their pirate-themed pdfs to sweeten the pot. Raging Swan and Frog God are my two favorite Pathfinder 3pps.

I saw that Raging Swan had donated "So What's that Pirate Ship Like" and "Villianous Pirates" for the ENWorld Kickstarter. Still, it would be a good fit with this as well.
I see 0One and zombieSkyPress are in the last update. What's up with Raging Swan?

Creighton very generously offered support, but his pirate-themed pieces are already supporting the EN World KS. We didn't think it appropriate to double-dip and want to leave those as exclusive to the EN World efforts.

So how do I go about adding Fire As She Blows for $15 to the $150 pledge? Is this added on after the kick starter ends or before?

Before. Use the Manage Pledge option and add the necessary amount. Once the Kickstarter ends, Frog God Games will send you a survey in which you can specify what the additional money's for.

Ok, I added the $15 for Fire As She Bears. Not sure that most understand that they need to do this PRIOR to the KS ending. Thanks for the heads up Ravenmantle!

Fire as She Bears is the name of the book. "Fire as She Blows" is something about Lou's personal life that's best not discussed on the forums...

LOL, I had it right the first time and then edited it! Corrected now. Something is strange as Amazon payments shows an authorization for the first and now the total also:( Not just the $15 for the second one.

Yes, that's just the way Amazon does things. You will only be charged for whatever your final pledge amount is. What they have is authorisation to charge your card, since they're going to be charging the full amount they need to make sure that the card is good for it. These authorisations eventually lapse, I think the length of time depends on your card issuer.

If you were to lower you pledge then they don't bother to reauthorise, since they have an authorisation that covers the amount already.

I can understand that, but I can't have that high of authorizations on my debit card, credit card fine. Changed all my pledges over to it and added the Hero Lab files.

*sigh* thank goodness for credit cards.

I'm currently bumped up to the $250 level plus $15 for some book about firing a bear. I'm looking forward to comparing and combing this with skull & shackles, The Tomb of Haggemoth, Journeys to the West, select parts of Serpents skull (Someone mentioned using souls for smugglers shiv as a springboard and YES!), and anything else I have in my collection to create the ultimate nautical sandbox campaign.

Also, I'm quite pleased to be adding some works of John Ling to my collection (even if one is a book about setting a bear on fire), after having the opportunity to go dungeoneering with him at Gen Con 11.

So Im looking at this kickstarter how much do I have to give to get all three of the book in print and pdf

Joey Virtue wrote:

Which three books? I think we're dealing with four now, RC, players guide, heart of the Razer and Fire as she Bears.

Ok all 4 then

Cheapest four books: Pledge $205 (+shipping) for $150 First Mate option, with $40 for Heart of the Razor and $15 for Fire as she bears.

Cheapest four books with bonus module (approx 36 pages): Pledge $265 (+shipping) for $250 Swashbuckler option, with $15 for Fire as she Bears.

Shipping only applies if you live outside of the US, and if you're in Canada you only add half the international shipping price.

I think that's correct.

Edit: there are also some significant .pdf benefits to the swashbuckler option over the first mate and a couple other things like a mini and other stuff.

Edit 2: scratch that, minor differences, the extra PDFs are the same for both levels after checking.

I'm confused. :(
Aren't there five books available in print format? My count:

The razor coast book, players guide, heart of the razor, fire as she bears and the kickstarter exclusive module.

Publisher, Frog God Games

Correct Steve

Been hearing some about Skull & Shackles and Razor Coast. How compatible are they?

Cheers bill.
I've added some generic add-on pledge, in case I screw something up and miss out. :p

(If I end up over pledging, can I make up the order with a couple of S&W rule books?)

EDIT: Ninja'd by the Frog Gods, although Carter is also correct in his description of the cheapest way to get the 4 or 5 print books.

Just a thought, when (positive thoughts) we make the 100K, will FGG make the PF PDF available on RPGNow as PoD? There seem to be a lot of the older modules there PoD, with which I am slowly finishing my collection.

Speaking of older models, if the Kickstarter gets high enough I might tbe talked into doing a Pathfinder version of my original model. Could even make the bandits pirates so that it would fit!

But then again, I am not sure people are interested in that level of obscurity<G>!

I posted this on the KS Comments to the same question: We have a complicated agreement with them on the Necromance Games products so possibly not at first. Eventually yes we want all our products to be purchased easily through whatever means you most prefer (game stores, electronically, direct sales, etc). I cannot give you a specific date but I can say that once the Kickstarter pledges are fulfilled then we will post immediately on our site and then start rolling it out to our distributors as fast as our contracts allow.

And upped my pledge for FasB. Pele demands sacrifices and as much as I can give, I'll give.

There's even a fifth book: an exclusive Bonus Module (Call of the Frog God) by Casey Christofferson available exclusively at the kickstarter (225 or 250 pledge level). Also no PDF of this iirc

Much joy that Fire as she Bears was funded, though maybe you fellas should have called it Wooden Ships and Weresharks.

I added on the Herolab files and Fire at She Bears. :)

I have a question for the Frogs regarding the Herolab files...

**The Hero Lab files are based on other sources which use products such as the Bestiary 1, Bestiary 2, Advanced Player's Guide, and the new Tome of Horrors Complete (TOHC). You will need these sources through Hero Lab (not the community site) to use the Hero Lab files at 100% other wise the files will still open for general use but you will not have all the profile data shown.

I purchased the Bestiary files and the APG files directly through Herolab, but I do not have the files for Tome of Horrors Complete. I purchased a print/pdf copy of TOHC through Paizo, but I don't recall getting Herolab files with it. Were the files included with any purchase of TOHC, or are they a separate purchase? Should I have redownloaded my TOHC from Paizo before asking this question?

Thanks! You Frogs rock! Your books are the most durable gaming books I have ever seen.

Itchy-

The Tome of Horrors Complete files are new for HeroLab, and should be available this week.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but what's the approximate page count for Heart of the Razor?

Sorry, I don't understand that title for a book about firing differently sized ursines out of large black powder weapons. This is a supplement for Carnival of Tears, expanding the "cannon act" options.

Hey Ravenmantle, it hasn't been asked, though it was on an update I think. Anyway, approximately 50 pages plus or minus in Pathfinder. It might creep up a bit depending on art and last minute fiddling, but it won't exceed 64 no matter how you cut it. Sorry I can't be more exact.

EDIT
He asked about Heart of the Razor
I answered about Fire as She Bears

Heart of the Razor = ~100 pages +/- in Pathfinder
Fire as She Bears = 50-64 pages +/- in Pathfinder

Sorry!

In my understanding, you up your pledge by the necessary amount (like +15 $ for Fire as she bears) before the deadline.

After the deadline, you will receive a survey asking you how your pledge is to be spent. It is at that moment that you will be able to stipulate that the additional 15$ were for getting Fire as she bears as an add-on.

Note that this is only my current understanding of how things work. I may be mistaken.

It's a two step process, one now and one later.

1) Add the money to your pledge. So let's say you were already in for the $150 package. You want to add HeroLab and d20Pro files, which cost an additional $50. Simply go to Kickstarter and change your amount from $150 to $200, and re-select the $150 package.

2) When the KS ends, the fine folks over at FGG will send you a survey through Kickstarter. In that survey, you'll get to tell them what the extra $50 was for.

Hope that helps.

Thanks yeah it does help

Hey guys, is the adding the money to get add-ons pre-ending thing new? When I backed Rappan Athuk- I could add in money at the time of the post KS survey for stuff (if I recall corectly). I was debating about the HeroLab/D20pro files, so was gonna think about it until the survey came in. If I need to make the decesion tonight I shall, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

AIUI, the only difference between what happened with RA and this is that the money you pledge up front counts towards whether it'll be funded (not an issue with this one, thankfully) and towards stretch goals.

Ummmm, I asked Lou to check this again. I think he is thinking of the Player's Guide (at 64 pages). Heart of the Razor should be coming in closer to 96 pages... Don't take my word on that. Lou should be on shortly to confirm or tell me I'm blonde.

Bottom line, we don't turn away sales. If during the survey you tell us - um yeah I meant to add that on, can I now - then we will accommodate and send an invoice for the remainder owed. Of course as stated above if you add it now to the Kickstarter everyone (including you) may benefit from future goals. Just a thought. Thank you for your support.

heh, funny thing:

2 years ago I was in Hawaii. Went surfing for the first time (only time so far). Got up on the board, surfed in to the shore, thought to myself "Hey, this isn't so hard!"

Went off the board at that precise instant, hit my knee on some coral, and gushed like a stuck pig. Went back out for about another 20 minutes, until the knee swelled up like a baseball. got back to shore, and limped for the next 2 days. Knee full of coral. Still have the pretty scar from meddling in Her playground. Occasionally, coral grit still comes out. Weird.

Pele takes her blood. True story.

Good luck adventurers!
