I am just loving everything I am seeing for this project. The fact that I'll be able to take this to CT and running it for my fellow furs if this funds, and I pray that it does, possibly in tandem with Skull and Shackles in its own world.

Dark Archive

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

It has slowed down a bit only just shy of 49k of the 75k needed so not even 2/3rds funded yet.

I'm keeping an eye on it myself. I still have faith that ultimately this will fund.

Liberty's Edge

For what it is worth, I wanted to pop in and talk for a moment about how excited I am about the adventures that the Frogs recently revealed. I've done editing on Tom Knauss's Sinful Whispers, Gary McBride's The Black Spot, and Richard Pett's Angry Waters (and they sure are angry, that's no lie).

The writing on these is absolutely superb. The flavor of the setting really comes through, and it's incredibly satisfying to see the Razor Coast come to life in the way that it has through these adventures. Like someone upthread mentioned, I'm not really a "pirates" guy, but these adventures do not require the PC's to be pirates. They do need to be adventurers - and it will help to know their way around a boat, to be certain - but pirates? No*.

*Pirates are, of course, still welcome.

To speak quickly to Clark's point earlier, I am so proud to be a part of this project, even a tiny part. To see the community come together and sort of pitch in on getting this together is incredible. Some of the finest names in not just open gaming, but gaming period (in my opinion, anyway) are involved. And Pett, too! (haha, just kidding, Richard - please don't send me any disturbing text messages!)

Anyway, now all that's left is for RC to fund. It needs to fund. It's going to be worth it, you guys. I have no financial interest in it either way, so please don't take this that way. It's a quality production from a quality company, with quality authors. To me, that's a no-brainer. And that's a good thing, because after Gary McBride's adventure, I left my brain at home for safekeeping. There were too many unspeakable horrors trying to... well, let's just say, I left it at home for safekeeping.

so...cold...

Hey All!

Sorry I was MIA for a couple days! Some family health issues, very fortunately all resolved fairly well now. The Curse of Pele is strong! But we shall survive!

So excited to see Razor Coast sailing towards funding! Thanks for the many shoutouts for the material, oh those of you who have seen the gruesome tiki terrors and demon-shark riddled madness with ye own eyes!

Evil should be seen by all eyes, and thanks to the multitudes of you all making that happen with Razor Coast!

It has been slowing down for about a week which has me a little concerned. Also why I added my pledge to our groups.

Just watched the interview of Demiplane of Gaming!

Hawaiian Asskickers! Nice, Lou! :-)

A lot of the weaponry and martial traditions of the Tulita are heavily influenced by Hawaiian/Samoan/Maori traditional warfare - all amazingly terrifying stuff.

I hope we get there! Thanks for pledging and for spreading the word!

The kicktraq projection has us just squeaking in at the low end and making some stretch goals at the high.

The best thing everyone can do to help lock this in is to tell people about it far and wide. Hit your blogs, hit EN World, tell your uncle, use Razor Coast to introduce your grandma to Path-- scratch that. Use something else. :)

To make it easier to tell people what Razor Coast is, I've created a public facebook event where I plan to post sneak peaks every other day or so. Consider yourselves all invited. You can check it out right here.

Feel free to invite anyone you want to take a peak. I'm going to start another thread about the sneak peaks, specifically, so folks don't have to hunt through 15 pages to find this.

Last but not least, the Frogs are cooking up an exciting announcement they'll release shortly after we hit 75% -- as a thank you bonus -- that's going to add value to a whole lot of pledges. Maybe we can talk them into an early release. *whipsheadbackandforth no blondefrog whew*

Thanks again everyone! We're on the move!

Sovereign Court

I asked James Jacobs for his thoughts on the ask JJ thread and he said he's backing the project and can't wait to see it. Which is nice.

Don't make me kill you... We will work our butts off like always to bust it out as soon as possible.

Greetings Nick! I hope your folks are doing well up in the Northlands. I was going to ask how they're doing but I don't know if that's appropriate on this thread. I'm going to try and get some fliers up at the very least in the 3 gaming shops I know in my area to try and encourage some in the local gaming community to take a gander at FG's RC Kickstarter page. We'll see what happens.

Keeping spreading the word over here in Britain too ladies and gents, not only is Razor awesome, but if it's not pledged, I've heard Logue might be moving back over to England, we cannot let this happen again! Her Majesty must be protected!

Plus, Angry Waters needs to infest his campaign, he'll never live it down if the best adventure in Razor Coast is by Pett, please let me taste this sweet meat, please, ahhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!!!

hey Mach Pants can you post Clark's response from this thread on ENW? Apparently his nor my login is working.

OK no probs, I'll whack it on RPG.net too

Done! :D As I mentioned before any supporters here with ENW or RPG.net accounts come and help me keep it on the from page!
And I will comment on the sneak peeks thread here, to keep that one (in Lou's words) "clean"... although how anything to do with Razor Coast, let alone Logue's mind can be clean I don't know....

I was a pre-orderer, and was drawn into the project by Wayne's art. Not Bethany (as lovely as she it, although not a speck on BF in the KStarter vid! ;)) but the wereshark. Once I sae that art I did some research and got all the PDF's of Nic's I could, Indulgences etc. I was hooked. This is very dif stuff from my normal fair, OS modules and DCC and the Sword's & Sorcery series and RA etc. But wow thanks for pointing my gaming in a dif direction. Couldn't stand the thought of a pirate game but a horror set in a piratey type place, yes please. I then checked out Freeport, and MORE AWESOME!

So thanks for the original wereshark and thanks for more weresharks.

And undead cannibal pygmies? Were they in any way inspired by the undead pygmies cannibal pygmies in The Mummy 2? Cos they rock and I want more!

What a sweet talker you are! Someone buy this man a drink. Speaking of Freeport... I think you'll like some of the surprises we are going to release when we hit 75% funded. I know, I know, I tease :p

If a gaming company's marketing person can't tease, I don't know who can. You are pretty good at it, though. :D

Seriously, Razor Coast has to fund. I've been following the product since it was first announced way back when and everything I've seen and heard about it just screams top quality.

Teasing, so great if you are in the know!

Keep the info coming and I will keep it in the front pages of threads, more exposure and awesomeness the better.

Ok, so who is going to be Mr. or Mrs. 50k and push us into the 5-0s?

The Exchange

Unfortunately not me I upped my pledge this morning, unfortunately thats likely to drain my hold of all its booty.

Fourth, where are my text messages from Pett? Hmmmmm??? I'm feeling very left out here! *Pout*

Wait a minute Rachel, so just who have I been texting over the weekend if it wasn't you...oh no! Oh no!

Shadow Lodge

That explains the strange text messages that have been bombarding me since Friday night.

Oh no, not again!

Where is this podcast/vidcast people are talking about? Is it talking about the Razor Coast?

Thanks!

Ok people time for a call to action. we ultimately need more backers soooooo I am personally challenging each of you to bring on one New backer. you can even brag about it on the KS comment page. if we have every backer now (including myself) bring on one more person, then we will fund! So get out there and report back to me when you have brought on another backer :)

Vidcast!

Also,

Blonde Frog,

I am the one who buys gaming stuff. My fiance tuts and tells me I own enought stuff to play for twenty years and my other players think that this stuff just emerges from my bookshel by some kind of magi-organic process.

Unless I can tap the cat for his secret stash, I'm no help.

Dark Archive

Yah it'd be hard for me too, heck hard enough getting me to lol. The only thing I play lately is Arcanis and what with moving to a different country and all I'll be changing groups up.

Plus, my crew currently only plays Arcanis, and before that 4e. Last time I played PF was in Bangkok like 2 years ago heh...

I'm sorta surprised but not surprised at the same time about the funding. I knew it'd be a harder sell with this go-around for FGG (page count vs. price point). However, full color and a more sandboxy approach should help. Additionally all the new stuff that's being thrown in I was thinking would bring a bigger bump.

After having lurked for entirely too long and watched this project agonizingly hover just below the 50k level, I upped my pledge to the Swashbuckler level. We're now just above 66.666% funding which seems disturbingly appropriate so let's get this thing done.

Yes! we just hit the 2/3rds mark. Now on the other $25k!

Just dove in for the $110 pledge and with my pre-order, it will bump me up to the $150 level...right? How will I know this has happened? I'm guessing I'll get an email confirmation or something, eh?

When the project ends we will contact all you guys separately to get your pledges squared away.

Aarontendo and GeraintElberion, can you ask your player's to go in for a player's guide? Can you talk with your local game store about pledging for advanced copies. They can even contact us directly too. Even just posting it on your facebook, blog, twitter, G+ communities can help. It spreads awareness and gets other interested. It also costs you nothing. Some of your friends might even help by just pledging the $5 for support. After all we are crowd-funding here so the bigger the crowd, the better. Tell your friends this is something you believe in and if they could toss in $5 to help that would be fantastic. My mom even pledged and she doesn't play RPGs.

Thanks BF - even more excited today!

Alright, even though I'm at work, I snuck onto Facebook and posted the Kickstarter link on the gaming group page of my local FLGS (Jetpack Comic). Mostly wargamers post there but there is the occassional Pathfinder post. Even it just snags a few bucks, it's worth it. Tried sweetening the deal by saying I might run it at the store if it gets funded.

Has anyone spoken to Reaper about letting their Bones kickstarter customers know about RC as they got Swords and wizardry as a free pdf, have pirates etc to use when the Bones show up, have a lot of roleplayers on board and there is a reaper exclusive available? The thought occurred to me as Studio mcvey plugged Kingdom Death today due to a connection.

Contributor

Thank you all so much for spreading the word!

This community is so wonderful. If Pele's curse is broken, its all down to the mighty mojo of you epic-level gaming enthusiasts who have generously and kindly backed this project.

Look forward to sharing the villainy, gruesomeness, and mind-rending insanity of the Razor with you all very soon!

Yes, but that only works if you go to Reaper's site rather than talking to an already existing audience.
