Glaive wielding Inquisitor

Advice

I'm looking to play a Glaive wielding Inquistor, but don't know what feats to take to help with encounters. I plan to go buff party with Knowledge and spells then resort to be the flank partner and close to the battle. So far this is what I have:

20pt Buy

Maksim Basarab
Male Dwarf Inquisitor of Shelyn
STR 14
DEX 13
CON 12 +2 Race 14 Ttl
INT 12
WIS 16 +2 Race 18 Ttl
CHA 08 -2 Race 06 Ttl
(CHA Dump based on how he is opinionated on what he feels is beauty and is gruff on how he tries to force people to his view. Not so much that he is bad looking, just his assertiveness and rudeness.)

Skills
K:Arcana 1
K:Nature 1
K:Religi 1
Percepti 1
Sense Mo 1
Spellcra 1
Survival 1

Feats
???

Traits
Chance Savior
Reactionary

Short synapse is he worked with Professor Lorrimor due to his knowledge on creatures and he is an academic of Lepidstadt. He has been on enough expeditions with the late Professor where on one occasion he saved his life and now hearing about his friends death he plans to get to the bottom of it.

Improved Monster Lore works well with your academic background.

Power Attack at level 3, since you're fighting with a two-hander. Furious Focus or Shield of Swings can follow from that.

Combat Reflexes, especially if you're planning on taking teamwork feats that grant AoO. You can take this from level 1.

Extra teamwork feats aren't bad once you hit level 3 and get Solo tactics, though if you get to high levels you might run out of choices with all the bonus teamwork feats you get (not to mention being able to retrain your most recent teamwork feat to anything you want with a standard action).

And for teamwork feats, if you plan on flanking take Precise Strike at level 3 and Outflank at level 6. Paired Opportunists is also a solid choice if your allies get AoO, especially if you picked up Combat Reflexes.

If you plan on keeping Sense Motive high you can try Improved Unarmed Strike and Snake Style - at later levels it can massively boost your AC vs one attack a round. But that's not worth it until your Sense Motive checks start outstripping your AC (probably no earlier than 7).

There's probably also some fun stuff you can do with weapon-specific feats.

CHA dump is going to impact Bluff and Intimidate, are you thinking of not taking those at all? Your statement about "forcing his views on people" could be interpreting as bullying people meaning you'd want at least Intimidate (especially if youre going straight Inq so you'lll max out your Stern Gaze ability). If you think Intimidate is something you'd add ranks to down the line either the Heresy or Conversion Inquisition will do the trick especially with that WIS score.

As for feats, Im a big fan of Judgement Surge - with the errata you qualify at 1st level so most of your Judgements are +2 right out of the gate, and at level 2 the rest of them jump to +2 also. Nice self buff while youre in support mode.

For a dwarf its hard to beat Steel Soul - increases your +2 racial bonus vs spells to +4. Also, if youve got the age Breadth of Experience gives you a +2 on all those Knowledge skills youre planning to use for buffing. Might get redundant at higher levels but would be a nice bump at level 1 when combined with your Monster Lore.

Looks good so far, however, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have ranks in Intimidate. Demoralizing an opponent provides you with a nice debuff, and using it with the spell Blistering Invective is a nice low level AoE. Later on take Cornugon Smash. (Whenever you Power Attack, you get a free intimidate check)

To follow-up with your Monster Lore, check my character write up for in-game flavor. Especially, my Double-Book. You'll know what "Double-Book" means when you read about it.

Intimidate is very nice but not mandatory for Inquisitors. Cornugon Smash is an extremely good feat for you if you do decide to put even half ranks in Intimidate down the road (especially if you pick the Heresy or Conversion inquisitions).

I second the Dwarf feats Deylinarr mentioned - those are solid choices, especially at level 1.

Conversion inquisition to make up for the charisma dump a bit.

Grand Lodge

Heretic Inquisitor with the Conversion Inquisition will get x2 wisdom to Intimidate.

Combat Reflexes won't do much for him when he's just got a thirteen in Dex, though.

Have to agree on the value of building up Intimidate; it's a solid social skill and with the investment of a feat or using a spell you can use it for nice debuffs as well. Inflicting Shaken for a -2 to just about everything is always nice, and with the bonus from Stern Gaze you'll have an easy time with the checks.

Not really, only to bluff and diplomacy. At least that´s what´s written in the D20pfsrd.

Whoops. You're right.

I prefer the Heresy Inquisition, as it allows you to use wisdom for intimidate, and that allows you to dump charisma.
