I'm booked for 4, 5, and 6-player groups, but still have a few openings for 1, 2, and 3.

I sent over my info to my VC but haven't heard anything back yet. :/

Dark Archive

My VC acknowledged my request to join the playtest as a group of one on Saturday night, but I still haven't heard anything from Vic...

And now I'm in! :D

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

I've responded to all requests I've received, and sent confirmation to the email address attached to the group lead's paizo.com account.

I only have a couple of 2-person slots left, and there are a few people who initially requested larger groups that I've asked to fit into those slots, so unless I post otherwise, the playtest is now full!

Thanks very much for your help!

Sovereign Court

I'm in the same boat as Dhampir984. My VC has acknowledged my request, made an announcement to our PFS group about it and I have not received email notification.

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

I didn't get playtest requests for either of you...

Did you get one from me, just too late for me to get in? I hope that's the case, because otherwise that means my VC never got my e-mail and/or never sent in a request for me. Which would be lame. The former (you got it, but it was too late) would still be lame, but not as lame.

This sounds like it might be fun.

Sovereign Court

No worries Vic. I figured out what happened. Had a good time with the play test at Paizocon and I hope this one goes well for y'all.

Dark Archive

So I don't have a pathfinder society venture captain in Saskatchewan. The closet one us in either in Winnipeg or Edmonton. So will that still work, sending my request to playtest to one of then?

My guess is my VC didn't get mine. :(

me too, even though I sent it twice :(

I sent in for a two player on Sunday and didn't get a response back until today from the vc in my area. Very frustrating having to rely on other people.

Grand Lodge

I think venture officers were used to filter requests so that Vic would not have to deal with incomplete requests. I know about half the requests I received initially needed more information before I could send them on.

Those requests didn't really show a lot of promise for the playtest in not following the directions, but I didn't want to prevent the group's participation as long as they were able to provide the needed info eventually.

I sent all the info asked for and got no response for 4 days. If everyone involved has already been contacted and I'm out this severely ticks me off, and reaffirms my lack of faith in organized gaming.

I sent a request for a group of three to my VC some time ago and never heard a response. Does that mean that it either wasn't received or wasn't forwarded?

I'm keeping out of this recruitment process because Vic has it well in hand, but I just wanted to say how awesome it is that all you guys want to help us make this the game you want it to be. This kind of enthusiasm makes a game designer proud.

I can't participate being stuck in Australia, but I'm enthusiastically cheering you guys on from down here. Very excited by this project. I'm looking forward to a long running subscription. :)

With full acknowledgement that its way too early for comments like this - I hope you'll take a poll on which adventure path to tackle second.

Drat. I just read this the other day... and I have a group interested in playing and participating. I fired off the email just this morning. I'm a touch disappointed.

heh heh, heard from my VC today... he will send it forward... :)

I am the Venture Lieutenant of Portland. There is a group interested where do i submit the information to once i have it

Pretty sure all the spots are filled up. They went pretty quickly.

Is it too early to ask when we playtesters might get our hands on these to start playtesting? (aware that the answer is almost certainly ”yes, quit bothering us while we're busy making the playtest awesome.”)

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

I'm hoping to get the files to FedEx Office within the week. At the very least, playtesters will get an update by then....

Yeah my group is chomping at the bit to play this

Im very interested in seeing how this will all be set up and how this game will work

Is there anyway us play testers could get a email of just the rules so we can read through them so when we get the game we will be ready to go

I believe Vic said that all the responses have been sent out for this playtest round (if there are to be more rounds than one, I guess we'll learn later).

I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing future playtest openings. I'm interested in this game for several reasons:

  • It sounds like it's quick to pick up and play
  • I love the Rise of the Runelords AP
  • I love the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game
  • I love the idea of what sounds something like "deck-building with a plot"
  • I -really- want to see the cards and determine whether or not they can be directly translated into Pathfinder RPG game aids.

There's some previews here.

Not really would be my impression - a little too much mechanics.

I'm just curious if anyone has received their cards yet? I have a confirmation from FedEx that they're done, but am having trouble reaching the office itself to confirm that they are waiting for me (it's an hour's drive to the office, which is in Mt. Kisco, NY, and likely was hit hard by Sandy last week).

I got my set Sunday night (Cary NC). I was heading into town Sunday so I followed up closely so I didn't have to make another drive.

I had two issues 1) they didnt have the request in my name, they had Vic's. 2) They tried to make me get a copyright form filled out but Vic sorted that out after I emailed the project email node for help. You might first try mentioning the files came from paizo and they can check the about us section on paizo.com and see Vic's name (that's how the my issue was solved).

Grand Lodge

I've got mine, had no problems getting mine. A couple of them look like they got mangled by the cutting machine unfortunately.

I picked mine up last night, and had no issues. The project was in Vic's name, but when I showed them the confirmation number on my smartphone, they handed it over without batting an eye.

It was even cheaper than I expected; only $28 and change. :-)

Grand Lodge

Got mine just now - no issues with the copyright, it did seem to help to hand her a printout of the confirmation.

Mine was sent to the wrong FedEx- number 2149 in Durham, NC, rather than number 2597 in Shrewsbury, MA.

We have 5 people doing 2 scenarios. Is there anyway this can be corrected to get my group playing? Thanks!

Agnelcow, below is the information you provided (which I sent to Vic).

My paizo.com forum name is "Agnelcow", the group has 5 players, we'd

be commiting to the 2 chapter playtest, and the FedEx location is

Which seems to confirm exactly what he said

Still accepting testers for this?

Sorry—closed long ago!

I just want to say that I have played this game with my wife and 9 year old son and we love the game so far. Can't wait till the game continues to grow. Very well put together.

If we can get enough players near FedEx Office locations, we will use that route exclusively. They service the US and Canada. If we can't get enough playtesters near FedEx Office locations, we'll look to expand to other places... but we'll probably start with Staples, which also isn't worldwide.

There's Staples in Sweden and an store very close to where I live. :-)

Whoops, here I thought you were playtesting next year's Adventure Path. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I thought that too :)

I guess unseeker's response moved this to the top of the thread.

@Vic and @Mike - If you're looking for volunteers to take copies of adventure packs 2-5 to provide feedback and help you compile a FAQ before the cards are officially released I'd be all over that!
