Planning for group 2!
We should list what we have played AP-wise and what we would like to play and what we can run.
I am currently in Maure Castle and Skulls and Shackles. I would like to run through Kingmaker and a mid to high level game.
I have GMd many PnP games but this will be my first PbP as GM. I don't own any APs, I do have a few small 3.5 modules.
I generaly run homebrew, so if there is anything odd or unusual you would like to try (I.E. an awakened tiger or spellpoints) I am probably the best pick for running it.
Valmoon |
I own Skulls and Shackles (running two of them, a PC in one), kingmaker, Rise of the Runelords (A PC in one that seems to be dieing), Carrion Crown and, Jade Regent.
I think Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, (maybe) Second Darkness, Kingmaker, Carrion Crown, Jade Regent and, Reign of Winter sound fun to play in. Perhaps a homebrew depending on whats going on.
I plan to stick with Adventure paths for the time being as a GM because, I'm new to the GM scene.
Robert Maughan |
I have all the Paizo adventure paths as well as the ones that went out in Dungeon Magazine.
I am currently playing in Kingmaker just starting the second module.
I was playing in Rise of the Runelords and we reached the end of the first module before we lost a player and put the game on hold.
I would prefer not to get involved in a Kingmaker game but I would be happy with RotRL as that one is unlikely to ever restart.
I am happy to run any of the APs apart from Kingmaker. The older ones wolud be more work due to the need to update them to PF but I wolud be happy to do the work. I also have a bunch of 3.5, 3.0 and older stuff from WoC that I could pull out if folks wanted to do something like Return to Ravenloft or Castle Greyhawk.

If I understand the posting on the previous group, this group, while 99% DMs, has the potential for non DMs correct?
I haven't played enough to be comfortable with DMing, but I love the game. I'm in Legacy of Fire, that's the only AP I've played in, though I have played several home brew games. I'll keep following the thread in case you do need more players but out of respect for potential DMs coming in, I'll keep my posts to a minimum.

Excerpted from the other thread:
Counting solely the Paizo forums, I've yet to play in any campaigns here, though I've applied to about a half-dozen since my arrival. Most recently IRL, I've been a part of a Crimson Throne game (currently on hiatus) with my standard group, and am playing in a once-a-month campaign set in Golarion that has been going on now for almost six months, which is currently focusing on the acquirement of an army to defend itself from an encroaching advance from the Worldwound. Other well-known campaigns I've been through include the Tomb of Horrors, Against the Giants, World's Largest Dungeon (though we only made it halfway!), and White Plume Mountain, among numerous other homebrew campaigns hosted by my friends. I've never been the dungeon master of any of the Pathfinder scenarios or Adventure Paths, but I've run The Temple of Elemental Evil (and its sequel, Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil). My last foray as a dungeon master was for a homebrew Dark Sun campaign, which centered around the reinstatement of Rajaat back into The Hollow.
The list of things I'd like to play in are pretty broad, but chief amongst them are the Rise of the Runelords, Legacy of Fire, and Jade Regent Adventure Paths. This isn't to say I'm only interested in these two things, though I do tend to trend towards characters and campaigns that are more heroically-inclined. The classic struggle of good versus evil, saving the realm from an overwhelming doom, a sense of adventure, rescuing prince(sse)s... you know, that whole shtick. Homebrew campaigns certainly aren't out of the question, but I'd prefer if they were set in Golarion or some other setting - after all, I find it easier to research something already established (no offense!) in order to build an appropriate character.
As for running things, I've had my eye on the Legacy of Fire Adventure Path for some time, though I've also pondered the idea of running Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, and Kingmaker myself - though I think Kingmaker would be more tenuous than worthwhile for a slower paced game, given the numerous factors it possesses. I'm open to other homebrew ideas, but the ones I've pondered myself have been sitting on the back burner for quite a while, and I'd rather hear some suggestions from prospective players before bandying my own ideas about all willy-nilly :)
So, yeah. Still here and eager to run stuff. In addition to the above, I also wouldn't mind playing through Age of Worms, as I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Again, as for running homebrew stuff, feel free to shoot some ideas my way! If we can reach a consensus on the overall idea for the story involved, I like to think I'd be able to incorporate it into a full-fledged campaign :D
EDIT: Might be worth the time to put together some sort of master list/table for what people want to play and DM respectively to help coalesce ideas.

I am in 2 Skulls and shackles games PC in both and 2 more games that are going super slow Ptolus Nights and Dungeon Days and The Darkness Below Maure Castle.....
I do not own any AP's but skulls and Shackles and the first book of the Shatters stars, I have done Homebrew 90% of the time, and I am not used to doing AP's I normally get them to read over and get idea's I have always wanted to try the skull and shackles one but since that has been done a lot and a lot of people own it I will not volunteer for it, I can do homebrew it gives us a little bit more freedom in my mind
I am currently wanting to play in the following games
Kingmaker, Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown and, Jade Regent.
The latter of the which would be the one I want to play in most at the time.
I am open for anything so please let me know

I'm in Skull & Shackles, Shattered Star and Jade Regent right now and am running Shattered Star. (You can see the supplementary blog I do for history, meta info, and tracking - but not the actual posts.)
I basically own everything going back to Dungeon #1 (and before) :D
I could run any of the APs or a campaign based on published modules - I don't have the time to do a full homebrew with nothing but self written adventures like I used to. If I did modules, I'd put stuff together from Paizo as well as some of my faves from old Dungeons, 1st ed, 2nd ed, and 3rd ed modded to PF. Or any of the APs people have been wanting to play but can't find someone to run (including the dungeon aps - although i've recently done shackled city and would prefer not to do it again so soon.)
I would prefer not to run one of the ones I'm in or the one I'm currently running.
Consider this as an open-ended offer for you all to come up with what you want and I'll run it. :)
DarkLightHitomi |
At this point with all GMs having posted lets get to specifics.
rpgramen has claimed RotRL.
Those looking to run APs, should pick one that no-one has said no to.
As for myself and maybe Krumthi, running homebrew, a quick vote on what you want to try (now is the chance for odd requests, to direct the themes, etc) or if you don't have something specific, I will run an idea that I have instead.
DarkLightHitomi |
I would like to try a couple things interesting things, if anyone allows.
1 I would like to try an awakened tiger (or possibly reeincarnated as a tiger)
2 I would like to play as a yuan-ti, Goblins comic style. the goblins comic for those who are wondering
Krumthi |
For my home brew I am thinking level 5-7 for a change here I normally start at level 1 but u think that a change would be a little better for me if that is okay with the group I am thinking. Something with pathfinder rules set someplace in the river kingdom area at least that is my first thought but I would be willing to do something else if this is not okay with people
rpgramen |
Hrm... while I do love me some sandbox action, I'd have to cast my vote for Legacy of Fire. There's just something tantalizing about the whole "Post Genie War" deal that tickles my interest, and the fact that it's already a pre-structured adventure path seems like it'd be easier to work with given the concept of our endeavor.
But, hey, I'll defer to you on that one. If you wanna do some homebrew sandbox shenanigans, I'm all for it; flex that imagination! :D

With in the week I should have requirements ready for me game and a storyline put into place I already have a great idea so I will just extend on that one I am going to make a conversion though from forgotten realms over to the pathfinder system the last time ran this it was all the back in AD&D version 2.5 (with players options) also I will give you all a little bit of a clue it is more feudal Japan then the Middle Ages
rpgramen |
I'm thinking three posts per character per week minimum - not a lot, but enough to move things along should no one be able to post more than that. Likewise, I'll probably update every other day (likely Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if possible) so it's a more scheduled, plannable ordeal than just 'Oh, bunch of people posted. I should update!'
Still working on some minor things for my campaign, but it should be ready to go soon.
Tiessa |
Well, two votes for LoF and my own desire to do something in the genre means that LoF it is.
The discussion page where you all can start talking about character concepts. If not enough DMs chime in for a full group, I will preferentially open up spots to players in my other campaign. If we still need more we can do recruitment. I want 6-8 players.
The campaign info page is up as well, with general info on how I'd like to run things and I've reserved the blog site for the game as well.
I'll do a couple of reminder posts here in the next few days to remind people to come on over.
Krumthi |
I am not sure when mine will be ready at the moment, but it should be before the end of next week when it is all out there for everyone to get into. I have all my paperwork gathered now, so I am ready to start converting and start getting my requirements ready.
Also I figure if we stagger the starting of games it might be a bit easier on all of us as well.
. . . . . .

Well since no one has made any unusual requests I will go with my unique homebrew universe. I actually wrote for the game system I am making but fluff is just fluff.
I will have campaign notes and everything put up sunday or monday (friday and saturday are my busy days), there will be some unique races and most cultures don't always group by race (aka, you are unlikely to find an elven nation, though you might find a nation with plenty of elves) though some places are intolerant of certain races but this is more of a national/religious thing rather than a racial thing.
And humans are rare, btw.
There will be some eletric technology but no combustions engines, few explosive chemicals, and no guns. Bows have come along way with compound bows now available.
DarkLightHitomi |
Yes, but instead of a human form it can be a single form of any of the other races. The history and backstory of Kitsune is a bit different and is actually a rather rare and young race, the history of which is questionable at best (though I do have one to be discovered).
Edit; note, Everyone knows that kitsune are just lycanthropes (false but then again lycanthropes being evil is false too, usually)
