Okay here's the recruitment thread for a new member. If I have it right for APs we want to avoid, Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown - as Fanguar has played, and Serpent's Skull because I'm currently running it. Are there any other APs that people wish to avoid?

I'm good with anything really.

I'm thinking Math Pros Jade Regent, thoughts? Hes got a good posting record which will hopefully up our chances of him sticking around - I'm getting a bit paranoid! Its been a useful recruitment thread though, especially if I can prod a Skulls and Shackles game out of it to!

Leaning toward Pavaan or MathPro, based on posting record. Both seem good.

Hey guys I thank you for your votes. I am here to discuss what game you would like for me to run. See the spoiler below for what AP's I have(nope not a collector at all...)

Available AP's:

Book 1 of Second darkness(would buy the other 5 books, I like the AP)
Legacy of Fire
Curse of the Crimson Throne
Kingmaker
Serpents Skull
Carrion Crown
Jade Regent
Skull and Shackles
Shattered Star(up to what ever has been relased...I think we're on book 4 now)
RotRL anniversary edition

Second Darkenss, Legacy of fire, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Kingmaker, Skull and Shackles, and Shattered star would take some prep time since I don't know them very well but we could start on character creation and get the game started while I'm preping.

The other Adventure paths I have previously run either here on the boards or in my real life gaming groups(or both which is the case with Jade Regent) so they require much less prep and I could throw my self fully into them starting asap.

I understand Curse of the Crimson THrone, Serpents Skull, Carrion Crown, and RotRL are out due to various reasons and thats fine with me.

So please consider from the following list:

Second darkness
Legacy of Fire
Kingmaker
Jade Regent
Skull and Shackles
Shattered Star

I like Kingmaker and Skull and Shackles, have not looked at Shattered Star yet but am willing to give it a try.

Well I'd be more than happy to play any of those, but my prefence would be Skulls and Shackles - one of the players that left was going to run it and I love my character for it - a Tiefling dual cursed oracle.

I'm a tad less keen on Jade Regent as I understand it has lots of spoilers for Rise of the Runelords - not a huge deal, but enough for me to prefer the other choices over it.

yeah it does have a LOT of spoilers for Rise of the Runlords as does Shattered Star.

If any of you are looking to play Raise of the Runelords and don't want things spoilered then I would suggest not playing Shattered Star or Jade Regent.

So thats 2 votes for Skulls and Shackles and one vote for Kingmaker. *shakes fist at players* really making work for me since I don't have anything preped for them...lol just kidding.

Oh and just a heads up...combat will be run mapless since I CAN'T stand making maps. Once Paizo gets there game space up and running I wouldn't mind running combats with it(based on ease of use) but until then just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Not a problem, I ran mapless for the first 8 years or so of tabletop that I did.

Oh and a question for you guys...would you be interested in play testing the mythic rules at all? I think I might open up this to mythic characters if your interested.

I'm down with it, kinda interesting some of the mechanics remind me of Star Wars Saga Edition which I love.

Yeah there are some interesting things in the play test.

Not familiar with the Mythic ruleset, but I would be down for checking it out.

Skull and shackles would be fine with me, but I would okay with any of those options, though I'm not sure kingmaker is particularly suited to PBP.

Male Changeling Fighter 1, Monk 1, Rogue 1, Ranger 1, Actor 5

I'm currently in a skull and shackles game, so I'd rather not do that.

My vote would be for Second Darkness or Legacy of Fire.

I'd love to try the Mythic rules.

I'll change my vote to Legacy of Fire then I think. Not sure about Mythic not really keen on playing high level characters unless I feel I've earned it by adventuring with them.

As I understand it, mythic doesn't necessarily mean high level. You could have a first level mythic character if you wanted to.

Mythic seems more like a template that opens a character up to some more powerful play options.

Is that right, Mathpro?

Mythic works at any level Carpe..and actually from what I've seen Mythic kind of breaks at higher levels lol. Then again the +20 init you get can make things a little lop sided at lower levels...

So looks like its Legacy of Fire. Excellent since I've run a LoF game here I can just copy and past most of the info...

I will have a game thread up a little later.

Discussion thread and game thread are up but please only post in the discussion thread for now. It can be found here
