So Sara gets taken to Nanda Parbat in the 3rd episode. Hopefully the episode introducing Constantine will the next one, as he comes in to help with the consequences for bringing her back from the dead. Oliver's sister was only mostly dead when she was dipped into the Lazarus Pit, not fully dead like Sara, so no supernatural fallout resulted (though she may be having some mental issues).
EDIT: He shows up in the 5th episode.

Well... given that Sara is supposed to be in Legends of Tomorrow, and that she's currently dead, the information I gave about the 3rd episode isn't a spoiler. And as for Constantine's involvement and the reason for it, that's not a spoiler either.
This is all information released by the showrunners themselves from interviews they've given that I'm putting up here. Because it's not like I've actually seen these episodes. They haven't even aired yet.

Considering he flat-out tells us what happens in his post, the not clicking the link doesn't help much.

Yes, she's dead in Arrow and she's going to be in a show involving time travel. The way that she ends up in said show isn't necessarily as obvious as you seem to think it is.

Those would be the interviews I avoid reading because I don't want to know plot points ahead of time.

The previews have shown her coming out of a pool of water. Its been long enough back that I don't remember if it was Arrow or Legends of Tomorrow previews though.

Given that the link explicitly says that Oliver takes her body to Nanda Parbat which is the location of the Lazarus Pit, it stands to reason that they're taking her there so that she can be resurrected. So, yes it is that obvious. The showrunners made it that obvious.
Now, if I have indeed spoiled things for you, then I apologize. It wasn't my intent to do so. I'm not trying to be antagonistic towards you or any one else when I say that I don't see these as spoilers. But because you do, I'll try to be more careful in the future with my posts and links.

TBH if you don't want things spoiled for you, you shouldn't be reading a discussion thread for something. People discuss what happened, and news based around the show. Maybe some leeway fr say a week after the episode airs, but asking everyone to put every post in the thread in spoilers and label them is just selfish, since you could achieve that same effect by simply not opening the thread.

THANK YOU!
I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one (apart from my gf) who felt this way.

There's a difference between not expecting spoilers from an aired episode in a thread discussing a show (which would be silly), and someone telling specific plot details and the episode in which they occur before said show even airs.
All of those plot details are now public in multiple previews for the show, so unless you are avoiding them, you will be spoiled on them anyway. And if you are avoiding them, why are you going to a thread talking about the rumors shortly before the season airs?
Kalshane |
I have yet to see a promo that says "In episode 3, this specific thing happens." In fact, I don't recall seeing Sara in any of the Arrow promos. I've seen her in Legend of Tomorrow promos, but not Arrow ones. Not saying she wasn't, but I don't recall seeing her.
And last I checked this was a thread of discussing the show itself, not rumors. So no, I wasn't expecting actual plot specific developments to be stated in plain text before they aired.
If specific plot details, stated in plain text, before the show actually airs, don't count as spoilers, then I don't know what actually does. I'd love to hear a hypothetical (I'm not challenging anyone to drop even more major spoilers here) spoiler in the minds of those who think this isn't one.
FTR, I'm not actually upset, because we knew she was coming back somehow, so it's minor as these things go, I was mostly objecting to the cavalier attitude about giving specific plot details ahead of time without a spoiler tag.
The fact that I'm being treated like a crazy person for suggesting specific details shouldn't be divulged without warning is rather off-putting, though.

There was, in fact, a trailer released last month for Arrow that shows Sara rising from the Lazarus Pit. I've even linked it. If you like, you can click on the link to see for yourself. Or not, the choice is yours.
They aren't rumors when they come directly from the producers and writers on the show. Even the people disseminating the articles with the information don't see them as spoilers... because if they did, it would be prefaced by a spoiler alert. This is why I don't consider the information I've given as spoilers.
But again, I'll be more careful about such things in the future.

Quite apart from the fan rioting, I see some problems with that grave being Felicity's:
1) Arrow is never going to be the Happy Superhero Show, but we just got Ollie to start thinking more hopefully and be a teeny bit less...well, Batman. Killing Felicity off isn't going to advance that character arc.
2) There is, at present, no one who could fill her role as überhacker/head of procurement for the team.
3) The Season 4 Arrowcave was expanded to give Felicity her own work area. Why bother if they're just going to kill the character? (Then again the same argument could apply to Diggle: why give him a Magneto helmet and a code name for the new season if he's just going to be killed off?)
I'm kind of dissatisfied with the status of Felicity as CEO-in-absentia of Palmer Tech. If she's not going to bother with the company other than to exploit its resources for Team Arrow, she should be removed a.s.a.p. If she's doing more than that, we should have some passing reference to it. Then again, I don't understand what's taking Palmer so long to reveal he survived. Was he stuck at tiny size for months, lacking appropriately-sized tools to repair a damaged A.T.O.M. suit? Will he fix that just in time to be recruited by Rip Hunter, thus making his survival largely a moot point where Palmer Tech is concerned?

I get the impression that Felicity won't be in absentia now that she's back in Star City and not secretly helping team arrow.
I'm still waiting to find out where the new Arrowcave is.
I'm also completely fine with Ray not knowing how to unshrink himself for a while until leading up to Legends of Tomorrow. I'm assuming that he might not even publicly be alive if he's traveling in time with Rip Hunter. Either that or he could simply say Felicity is welcome to keep running the company.
Overall, I really liked the episode, and that it set up the season's big bad from the get go. Was very intrigued by the reveal at the end that

Well she did mention something about conference calls, perhaps those were for business?

As long as the profits keep rolling in, the shareholders will likely roll with it. Especially in a fictional world. Until they need to oust her for a plot point.

I think this was discussed in the Gotham thread, but the DC CEOs seem to have a very weird view of "over-saturation" being a plague that must be avoided at all costs.
On the upside, we get less popular IPs like Green Arrow and Flash dominating the small screen and being very entertaining.
On the downside, we probably won't ever get Batman or Superman or probably even Green Lantern (as much as the Corps would probably translate to the small screen very well) even cameo-ing in a TV series.

And that makes me sad.

Well... Ferris Aircraft (and a direct reference to Hal Jordan) and Wayne Tech had mentions in the Arrowverse. Plus Bludhaven.
DC probably feels the A-List are too valuable for the small screen right now, using them will dilute the movies, or both.
Plus I'm fairly sure that Batman is all tied up at Fox TV for the moment.

More than a direct reference - season premier of Arrow actually had Hal Jordan in it (just as an Easter egg, but he was there in the flashback scene).
Ah, I saw the name Jordon and could tell they were drawing attention to it, but didn't make the connection.
My money is on Thea in the grave. I think they're setting up her character arc so she gets careless while fighting crime.
BPorter |
I think it's Quenton.
Takes a lot of sacrifice to come back from where he is.
My bet, also. Barry coming back to pay his respects in the sad-but-not-devastated manner in which he did it makes me think that. He knows him professionally and knows of his ties to Team Arrow. Given that Team Arrow and Team Flash work together on occasion, if it was someone from the inner circle, I'd expect more emotion out of Barry. Especially if it was Felicity.

OK! That was really cool. Anyone else think so?
I was loving this show since the begining... but the end of 3rd season and this two chapters are kind of lame at all.
now i see arrow to watch flash 2 season. while i wait for daredevil. :3
Black Canary actress doesnt fit the character at all she looks very odd.

I would have thought that there would be much much less left of her after that time.

Corpses don't really decompose to a full skeleton or into nothing that fast, even when they haven't been preserved. It can take decades for a corpse to fully decompose, according to some research I just did.

Yeah. That would make sense. But Darke said something along the lines of "but for my really legitimate threat against your daughter notwithstanding." I do acknowledge I'm being not-picky, though. :-)
