I actually like the Pathfinder iconics. I like their stories and seeing them show up in artwork for the APs. I didn't realize how much I disliked their D&D 3.0/3.5 counterparts until recently. I do think that some could stand to get more spotlight, however.
I have to disagree with Triga. I respect hsi opinion, but for me, I like the fasct I get to see them in so many various places etc. It is like I am watching a friend live out there life.
I personally don't mind seeing the iconics in the majority of the artwork as I've grown quite attached to the characters. However one thing I would like to see is a change of wardrobe every so often. Not just a simple cloak or something but an entirely new atire as seeing them in the same get up gets tiring after a while.
I.e like Kyra in a simple casual uniform or Seoni in a black satin dress? Mabye Valros without his armor sporting a more light and manouverable atire?
I vote Sarenraen Cleric Tiefling from Blood Of Fiends/Advanced Race Guide for reasons totally unrelated to any poster's avatar artwork.
Iconic Shoanti would be cool too.
While I do not honestly like how that Tiefling looked (not sure why I feel that way), I'd support this idea if only because Sarenrae would also get some love in her "Redemption" aspect if that were the case. I also vote for an iconic Aasimar (I can see Nualia be the one even though she's evil, which would be a good juxtapose to the Sarenraen Tiefling) and an iconic Changeling*. Then again, I'd also want to not just see the Kobolds get more love (Goblins stole all of it), but also want to see some kind of iconic Kobold, probably a Rogue or Ranger if not a Sorcerer / Dragon Disciple.
* = I freaking love Changelings. I don't even know why :D
