Need Feat Name: Quick Draw for Potion / Wand

Rules Questions

I believe I've seen a feat for a quick draw option for pulling out a potion/wand and using it in the same action. Sort of like Quick Draw is for weapons.

Only problem is that I can not remember the name of the feat (or even if it's from a legal source.

The feat Accellerated Drinker allows one to DRINK a potion as a move action instead of a standard action, but does not allow one to get the potion out any faster (still a move action).

The feat Wand Dancer works like spring attack, except for wand use instead of a melee attack.

I'll keep looking.

I let my players do this with the quickdraw feat if they have the wand/potion outside their backpack in a belt or something. I don't know of any feat, except maybe this one tiefling-tail-feat that allows one to use the tail for retrieving stuff...

In 3.5, you could have a potion belt that would let you draw a potion as a free action and a scroll organizer that did the same thing for scrolls. You could probably make a wand bracer to do the same thing. I personally don't think it's a big enough deal to warrant a feat.

more I'm thinking about it and from what I've looked at so far, beginning to think it was a home rule like what Kalridian has mentioned.

Do that potion belt and scroll organizer exist for PFRPG ?

For a home game? If you want them to be. You can grab (within reason) anything from 3.5 and adapt it.

Hardly unreasonable.

If it's PFS, then I don't think so.

You could fit a wand into a spring loaded wrist sheath (5 gp or so each) which will pop it out as a swift action. Could have one for each hand. I use them all the time to have a rapid deploy weapon I can hide easily (usually daggers).

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I would not make new feat to do to this I would make it apart of quick draw feat. If you realy want a name try Rapid Retrieval.
