There is a boon but it only requires that the same character have all three sheets - it doesn't require that they be assigned in order (though this is a case where the transitions between scenarios are fun and thematic). I'm a big fan of this series as it offers a really nice mix of unusual scenarios for players and DMs alike.
"The Devil we Know Series
Crypt of Fools is the third installment in the Devil We Know series. The first two installments, #29: Shipyard Rats and #30: Cassomir's Locker, were written to be played in either order. The final two installments, this scenario and #48: Rules of the Swift, have to be played sequentially and can only be played once a PC has completed #29 and #30"
This is from a sidebar at the beginning of Part 3.

Yup. Fully aware of that sidebar. No longer valid. That's why I said, "Anymore".
Yeah, and if you read them, I believe all four scenarios say different things about which order they can be played it. None of them agree with any of the others.
Are you suggestiong that only "Devil we know" can be played in any order, or that that's true for all Season 1 and 2 scenario series?
Because if players experience "Eyes of the Ten" out of order, there are terrific spoilers in later episodes that make the first scenario almost impossible to GM.
Announcement? That's kind of snotty. I didn't mention any announcement.
Eric, you are indeed correct:

Rules of the Swift is the fourth and final installment in the Devil We Know series. While it is not required that players play the
previous three installments before tackling this scenario, this scenario will make a lot more sense if played as the conclusion to the series.
This is a season 1 scenario. Things have changed since then. None of the scenarios that are multi part in season 2, 3 or 4 require any such adherence to order of scenarios. Unless I missed an announcement.
I'm still looking for the source of my memory on this subject.

No snottiness intended. If "things have changed", as you say, then the Campaign Coordinators must have made an annoucement to that effect. That's the thing you're trying to find: the announcement. And I didn't notice it.
I found this, where VC Delbert Collins II quotes Mark Moreland as saying the order doesn't matter but I can't figure out where the Mark Moreland quote comes from.
Yes please, if someone can prove me wrong, I would love it. That would open up two more scenarios down in Philly that people can play. (All the people who have played DWMK1 and 2 have had those characters level out of tier.)

I have been looking all over for this, and only thing I found was Joshua saying. that they are meant to be played in order, though Play, Play, Play! can be used to play them out of order if you have no choice. Of course there is no Play, Play, Play! any more...
And the Quote Pirate linked to I can't find anywhere so I am assuming it was on the VC forums.
I have always encouraged my players to play them in order but never enforced it.
To find the missing "announcement," I recommend looking up the threads from Mike asking for our opinions about ideas for improving the society from several months ago. I think there was on thread about the idea of boons for completing a series in order and there was loads of discussion on the topic.
I don't have time to search for it; perhaps someone else can tackle that.
