I have an interest in this. Sadly, my life for the next week will basically consist of me marking essays and finishing a draft of my dissertation so I won't really have enough time to crank out a full blown application until then.

However, I would like to toss out a concept and see how well it sticks. This would be for the Death Wind story arch. In terms of crunch, the character would be a Monk/Rogue (endgame likely 15/5). Probably a Human, though possibly a Half-Elf. There's a small chance I might elect for an obscure race off the SRD depending on how my stats work out...but that it terribly unlikely as I'm looking to have something more Humanish then I typically play.

In terms of flavour, the character would be a sort of 'agent of the temple' -- kind of in line with the fluff of the Inquisitor class. A monk 'assassin', who is charged with hunting down the enemies of the church and deal with them accordingly.

The character would likely be strong-willed, and uncompromising and would likely butt heads (heh...perhaps literally...) with those who oppose him. He will have a special distaste for idiots. They are in the way of the will of the church, and those who stand in the way of the divine must either get out of the way, or suffer the consequences.

Creative types are driven by their muse. If she's stronger than their organizational abilities, then they can be overwhelmed by their own ambitions. A pattern that I've noticed is if a DM admits that they abandoned another game, and then doesn't explain why they didn't resume it. It telegraphs to me that they have an issue that they still haven't resolved, so I don't bother applying to those games.

I hope that I'm wrong about this one. I won't participate, because of my reasoning; but it sounds awesome, and I'd love to read it, so good luck! :)
