@Thrawcheld I dunno if I can get to the con until the evening sessiondue to family commitments. The reason I was spreading the net a little wider is that my bro-in-law is based in Southampton and transport can be an issue for him but he's keen to play, but hasn't done any rpg before (regular club nights would be an issue)so I was seeing if there was anyone nearer to him but the Southampton scene seems pretty dead apart from the uni club which would be no good for me.
@Novalord tried the UK roleplayers but not much activity as of this morning.

For what it's worth, PSOP stuff at Dark Worlds might become a regular thing, if I can figure out when to do it. Time will tell, but with perhaps too many people already in my Kingmaker campaign, it's quite possible there will be enough players to run it with.
I would really like to play in that, I have posted on the club forum, but if numbers dictate as I haven't been there for a while I would defer to more regular player and I'll rum something else. I have made a druid anyway though.
I'll probaby get the basic set soon and run something simple for my brother and sister in law cause he is keen on playing.
Just checking out the Pathfinder society, does it matter what faction I join?
The faction you choose is the one you get prestige for (you can spend prestige for various services). There are also extra objectives in most scenarios that you can accomplish for extra prestige - different ones for each faction. First Steps is an exception; you start with no faction and pick one at the end of it.
Regarding faction traits and the like, remember you can change almost anything about your character until he/she hits 2nd level.
