Identify has two uses:
1) +10 bonus to identifying an object. It should not be that often when we run into an object that one of the spellcasters cannot identify.
2) You can use it as detect magic but without the standard action each round. Problem with that is that it only lasts 3 rounds at CL1. Not really long enough to be useful.
I say sell it and grab a scroll of identify instead. Net: 200gp.
I agree that we should sell the potions of CLW and the wand of False Life.
