I don't get it. Nothing was controversial in that vid. Yet some posters are acting like Chuck has gone bat s&$% insane.
Statements crazy enough to qualify as the material component for a fireball spell. One ear isn't quite working so i'll paraphrase
Liberty and freedom are under attack (what the hell is he talking about)
Our country as we know it may be lost forever (by some minor adjustments to the tax code so that tax rates become progressive instead of regressive on the top .01%)
You love your family and your freedom so you must oppose obama
Socialism!...or something much worse... (Duhn duhn DuuUHHUuun)
Triumph of evil! (SLightly different views= evil?)
Freedom is in danger of extinction (presumably from obama, considering what the commercial is about)
First step into A THOUSAND YEARS OF DARKNESS!
The entire thing is nuttier than squirrel poo.

The "Silent Majority"?
This is a shout out to Evangelicals. You can tell because he says so (or his wife does. Can't recall.)
Evangelicals are hardly a majority (though there are a lot of them). More importantly, they're not silent. They are the Christian Right and I doubt there's another religious group as politically active.
As for "straight up communists and socialist"? Who? Name names.
If people are "slowly waking up to an executive influenced by straight up communists and socialist", it's only because the administration's political opponents have been screaming it from the rooftops since the 2008 campaign.
This has been the most capitalist-friendly socialist government ever.

Personally, I'm voting for Archibald, King of the Hobos and A Trustworthy Mummy. But then, I'm not American...

Straight up COMMIES? Van Jones, Axelrod, Jarret ring a bell and to name a FEW. All linked to the Chicago Communist party. Yes the CCP endorsed B.O. this year as well.

No, I don't. You do this knee-jerk reaction to discrediting everyone anytime they call someone racist, that I have no idea what you're talking about any more.
Does racism exist?
Are you the only person who can determine what is and isn't racism? If so, what makes you qualified specifically?

Down the rabbit hole we go. Yes, Axelrod and Jarret appear to be linked to the Chicago Communist Party. Through their grand-parents and parents in the 40s! I didn't see a connection to Van Jones, except for a bunch of conspiracy sites, listing him as a "self-avowed" communist, without linking to anywhere he actually avowed it.
It seems there's been a conspiracy to mentor Obama and his advisers in Communism. And to turn the Democratic party to communism. All dating back to a couple of 40's Chicago Communists. All personally loyal to Stalin, of course.
Blech. I feel dirty just reading this stuff.
How strange that I'd thought the Democrats were in the pockets of Wall Street. I guess picking a economic team straight from the banks and bailing the banks out is communism. Who knew. I'd have expected the failed banks to be nationalized, at least.
Maybe it's still all a pretense. He didn't want to blow his cover in the first term, when he started tremendously popular in the middle of a crisis, with majorities in both houses, but if he wins a 2nd term, watch out! Then he'll really seize power.

This is the state of things then. American politics has descended from reasoned debate and an interest in running America to prophecies of doom and name calling.
This is the way of things as we stand one side wants to govern, the other side wants to deconstruct the American political system, fired up by an extremist and sensationalist media.
It truly is terrifying.

Chuck Norris isn't a Hollywood darling. Except for Expendables, he's spent the last two decades cameoing as himself and doing direct-to-DVD garbage. There's a difference between Hollywood darling and last starring in the internet meme that replaced Mr. T Ate My Balls.
On top of that, nobody's surprised that there are conservative actors. Arnold Schwarzenegger was governor of California. Ronal Reagan was president.

Yes, oddly enough a communist(if they actually are communists) is going to support a democrat the same way that a fascist is going to support a republican: its not their exact ideology but its closer to it.

As far as I know, there is no such thing as the Chicago Communist Party. It's simply the Chicago branch of the Communist Party USA which, I believe, has endorsed every Democratic candidate for president since, like Kennedy. I would have said FDR, but they supported the Progressive Party in 1948.
In revolutionary Marxian terminology, they are reformists par excellence. Most of them are also, like, 80+ years old.

I personally don't get why Evangelists fear communists.
Because Leninists (and most people aren't aware that there are other kinds of communists) were staunchly anti-religion, and because liberation theology (left Catholics, often socialists or sympathizers, most common in South America) and prosperity theology (rich people are rich because they deserve it, common in American Evangelism) don't mix.

Hell no. I voted Green in my very first election when I turned 18, back in 2000. I never expected Nader to actually come close to winning, but my reasoning was that I would vote for a third party most likely to get attention and funding later if they got enough votes, and hopefully they would provide a third contender in a future election. It was all based on the idea that the two-party system was fundamentally broken and any change would be for the better.
Then W won, 9/11 happened a year later, and here we all are.
I will never, as long as I am able to vote, vote for a third party again. I will abstain from voting if I absolutely loathe both candidates beyond reason, but from now on I'm just gonna pick the lesser of two evils and choke back my idealism.

Let me say this another way. You're like the little boy who cried 'wolf'. Except you do it whenever anyone tries to point out racism on the part of republicans. You've done it so many times, that it's clear that you do it out of knee-jerk reaction, and not any basis in reality.
I'm not saying that all of the times the repubs have been accused they have been guilty, but they're guilty more than you want them to be.
But you don't actually want to be taken seriously, so feel free to continue doing what you're doing.

Dude you are a parody of yourself.... Get a sense of humour grow a thicker skin and stop screaming like a fishwife every-time somebody says something in jest.
This is how it works... Somebody says something a little snarky, you react, they provoke more, you flail about looking like you are hot headed and reactionary. They use you as an example of a crazy Republican and have many lulz at your expense.

Communism, if you take the etymological syntax of the word, is something that Jesus preached & practiced.
Or was that one ignored along with wearing clothes of blended wool and linen?
I prefer 100% cotton, myself.
Ah one slight difference communists at least those in the Soviet Union and I know we get in a slippery slope here but work with me on the fact. They went out of their way to outlawed religion and create a state with no religion was allowed and persecuted those who practiced it. So I guess that maybe were the fear factor comes in even if they had some very similar causes and teachings. Please don't take this as I believe Obama is a communist. I was only reposnding to Urizen here and I know he was tongue in cheek.

Ok. Let's try 'telling it like it s' then. Obama is not a socialist, and certainly not a comunist. How do I know this? Because I live in the UK where we have actual socialism to compare him against. He falls a long, long way short of socialism.
So, having said that, now tht we've established that Obama is not a socialist (or even coming close to being one)' we have to look at why Chuck Norris says he is. There are three possible reasons
1) Chuck doesn't know much about socialism (ignorance)
2) Chuck does know about socialism but genuinely believes Obama to be a socialist even though the evidence shows he isn't (delusion)
3) Chck Norris knows Obama isn't a socialist but says he is because he knows the people he's appealing to fall nto category 1 or 2 (actively lying)
You see, I'm giving Chuck, and you, the benefit of the doubt and assuming you're honest, just wrong. If you like I can presume you're lying instead.

Conan is a character in a set of (mostly) short stories by Robert E. Howard. He's been adapted in other forms, including movies, comics and stories by other writers, but I don't see any real reason to give the comics precedence over the movies.

Its because the american evangelical religion isn't just christianity: Its christian AmeeRiiiCAAAAA, baseball, mom, apple pie, the founding saints, truth justice, and the American way... and that includes capitalism.
Also the largest example of socialism that was put into practice was a totalitarian regime that restricted several freedoms, freedom of religion among them.
