Well, it's obvious to see that Mr Dancey has a ton of passion for PFO. Every time I hear him speak about it, I get more and more excited.

I love it!

That was a really nice video! Since they already have a release date in mind from what Dancey said, I can't help but feel an even larger amount of anticipation for this game than I already had!

Mr. Dancey seemed to be saying other races will be added. When I heard that I made a happy sound- I think it went something like this:

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I thought the comment on the "mmo space" was most interesting.

1. Sandbox fantasy
2. IP Pathfinder

One thing I've wondered about EvE's longevity is that the complexity and tech-philic sci-fi setting perhaps attracts a particular type of player who is invested in those things?

I'd guess PfO would really want to be primarily attractive to the PfO PnP'ers first and foremost? Something I've noticed in mmos is the question of what is the most conducive thing to building a community and not a multiplayer experience where it's like LoL and everyone is bad-mouthing which for a social experience is kinda a big problem? To be clear, what I'm questioning is that for massively-multiplayer to be a successful experience, does it help if the player/user-base is more "homogenous" in where they are coming from eg perhaps tech-geeks in EvE or PnP specialists for Pathfinder Online? If you have a ton of random people is that a recipe for degeneration as per LoL or eg other bad rep online communities (eg some of those xbox fps games?)?

Definitely something I notice about these forums atm, is the very good quality of forumers being respectful to other people's contribution and participation on this forum. I think it's really important for PfO to engender this quality in the online game too. If you look at the amount of banning ArenaNet had to do recently eg reddit post, shows the reasons people got temp. bans is strikingly (some of the swearing/cussing for eg):

Guild Wars 2: This is how you do community management
