I would think that the web support team may have an answer for you. I'd try the Website feedback message board section and see if you get an answer there.
Out of curiosity, why would this be something a forumite would want? Is there some benefit to turning off your titles and/or GM stats. I guess I just don't see the need.
Just wondering if we could get a way as users to REMOVE all of the titles and stars next to our names.
Just an interesting topic, I actually could care less if the option were or were not available, but I perceive that it is kind of a privacy issue.
Very real situation if you are involved in financial dealings that go sour with someone who knows you are on this site, a banner such as my current one implies I have the liquid assets to fork over money to paizo every month.

Maybe the GM star thing seems too much like a willy-waving contest. E.g. "Why should I believe you over him? You only have one star and he has three!"

More choice is nearly always a good thing.
.
It doesnt really bug me as such but when I first began posting here it seemed odd to me that if I wanted to post on the forums I was forced to reveal to everyone else how much money I spent with Paizo each month.
(It's less of an issue now you can have an alias as your default avatar - or now I've learnt you can do that anyway),

Interestingly enough, I've had two different people harass/insult me just because I have "RPG Superstar" next to my name. They disagreed with my opinions on who-knows-what and wrote things like "you may be an 'RPG Superstar', but you sure don't know [BLAH]" and "I can't believe you actually think that; but then I'm a mere mortal, maybe one day I can be a 'Superstar' like you". (Lest there be any confusion, I've never used that status to try and give weight to my position in a discussion - these folks brought it up themselves.)
I can't speak for sveden's motives in particular, but I'm sure he has his reasons.
Yeah, I used to post a lot more frequently in business discussion threads (stuff about Amazon, release dates, FLGS treatment, etc.). I liked those discussions, sometimes. Then I got the "Owner - Enchanted Grounds" tag and was regularly getting dinged for having a biased opinion. I, of course, think that was not the case, but that's not really defensible when I have that tag.
I stopped posting in those threads, or even reading them.
I like my stars, though. If I'm in the PFS forum, I'm not sure why I wouldn't want them. It shows how much I contribute to my area, and I don't think that's a bad thing to show.
I also noticed several VO's had reverted to old aliases, both on PFS boards and our Private VO boards. Didn't notice stars (besides them moving along with titles moving)
We rolled out a major rewrite of our messageboards code today, and things will be wonky for awhile as things get cleaned up. This thread is where I'll post updates as things straighten out.
