I think Abrogail isn't religious at all. Asmodeus isn't her god; he's her business partner.
After looking through Cheliax: The Infernal Empire, I'm pretty sure Abrogail is a complete psychopath, too.
Abrogail isn't stupid; she wouldn't just throw away a useful tiefling.
But a tiefling would never become part of House Thrune, either.
But Abrogail's a 16th level sorceress, and her advisor/mentor/(best friend?) is a powerful pit fiend.
If a tiefling impresses her, it probably isn't beyond her abilities to offer said tiefling the chance to stop being a tiefling and become fully human...

This topic brings back memories.
Anyone else think Abrogail could be a Kuthite/Kuthonite?
not with Asmodeans surrounding her night and day. She's bound to Hell and its princes with chains forged before her birth.

Tabletop Tabloid Time: Abrogail is secretly a tiefling using magic to disguise herself, the culmination of decades of infernal influence. Her unnaturally powerful control over her subjects is a combination of her unnatural bloodline.
Believe me, I have a player who can cast a DC 26 charm person at level 4. Infernal bloodline is broken.

Necro-ing this thread because of an interesting development in a Varian Jeggare novel:
What would be the implications and rippling consequences of this action?
