I am looking forward to seeing the full package come to fruition.

Yup. It's under the "Magic Shop" section.

Me too. I just hope it does not take another 700 days per two books released.

I will take quality over quantity any day.

I am still running
Shackled City & Ashardalon Series......

Like everyone else, I too am patiently waiting for the rest of the releases.

Our group played through part 1 and 2 finishing part 2 in August. We were expecting a Oct. release for part 3. It never came, so now we have grown tired of waiting and shelved this campaign permanently.

I probably won't start it till it's all released

I look forward to picking this up when it is complete, much as I did with Way of the Wicked. (I was lucky enough to meet him at PaizoCon and get all six copies autographed.)

I'm pretty envious of that. I would love nothing more than to meet the guy. He seems pretty fun.

I just want my autographed print copies of the six adventures, the bonus adventure, WotW 7 and the poster map.

That is not too much to ask is it?

That he fulfill his kickstarter obligations and nothing more?

I mean, after all, I fulfilled my kickstarter obligations to him.

I think it is fair to say that people HAVE asked nicely about the delay, and gotten no answer.

That sounds frustrating......

Paizo Glitterati Robot

Removed a post and the replies to them. Threats of actual physical violence of any kind are never appropriate on paizo.com.

I've read books one and two. Our group is one session from finishing book one. I am really wondering what is going to happen in Book 3. I wish I could do this as Drow though.

I really wonder how this all plays out.

Anyone have a copy of Complete Minions by Bastion Press? If not, I highly recommend it for the specific creature, the Blessed Ring. It's a LG plant in the form of a ring of mushrooms. If you're good or neutral, it will protect you for 8 hours, allowing you to heal and recuperate. If you're evil, it will try to digest you. If you're attacked during the night while it's protecting you, all offenders get hit with acid spray. Considering the entire underground is essentially a mushroom forest/kingdom, there'd be at least a couple of patches of these.

While difficult to find, they aren't impossible. It's quite easy for an NPC to tell the party of where these patches exist, see a map with this area inscribed "Safe camp here, Blessed Ring", or they just happen upon it and make a Knowledge (nature) DC 18 check to figure out what they've discovered.

It mentions that a Blessed Ring is also capable of destroying evil items and artifacts. Depending on how the campaign goes, that could be extremely handy.

Fire Mountain games should hire you. You have been doing most the work for them on these boards since Gary disappeared.

Both myself and Weslocke have been adding things to this scenario. You should have seen all the work I did for the Way of the Wicked. Added lycanthrope feats, stated a few NPCs, fixed a couple of plot holes by inventing NPCs (seriously, no bounty hunters for the only people to have ever escaped Branderscar?), etc. That said, everyone did their part on that AP as well. Weslocke's already wrote up whole political setups for what he thought Books 3 and 4 should have been.

Personally, I'd have loved to freelance for FMG. It was Gary's praise for the work I had been doing on his first AP that inspired me to be a freelancer, and now I've gone two write-ups for Purple Duck Games, and working on a third. Now, I don't know what's going on. If he e-mailed me tomorrow saying he needed some stats written up, or needed someone to bounce ideas off of, I'd be all for it. Anything to get this going again.

Grand Lodge

I just want to add that, same book, the cavernivore is also a neat find to take your players on with. Especially if any of them are longing for the surface once again.

Grand Lodge

Again same book, the Death's Bloom. It's a hazard that's amazing and really good to have should your players forget important stuff, someone with important information gets killed, or anything along those lines. Heck, this technically replaces the speak with dead spell if no one has access to it, or if you're sure the person can easily make the Will save.

Mushrooms that grow on dead people and absorb their memories. Take a bite, and make a Fort save, and recall 1d6 memories from the dead person. Keep the mushroom spores to sprinkle on other dead bodies.

I need to make a record of these things. This would be great for any adventure, really.

KV why aren't you writing an AP if your own?

Lack of buyers who'd likely want it. The closest I got was doing this, but no one's been buying it so I haven't done anything remotely like that up again. I wish I could say I was a popular writer. Purple Duck Games currently has an open call for their Giants supplement that I'm a part of. There's still an unfortunate stigma when it comes to 3PP stuff and people willing to accept its existence/trust it.

Yeah but your posts are good, and that item looks questionable. Pretty sure I would have skipped right over it while shopping......

Secondly it has no customer review....

Unfortunately, not a lot of people are looking for stated encounters. I'd like to think it'd got some good stuff. It's the third in a trilogy of releases. I only did the third one.

Hopefully the Giant NPCs and Advanced Races books that I'm collaborating on with other writers will earn me some street cred.

Link for...? The npcs and race book? They aren't out yet. However, the npc one is still in an open call if you want to participate.

Congrats on your newest writing credit, Kevin and best of luck with your current project.

Thanks. I'm gonna need it. Shredded my right shoulder in a fall, and now I'm having troubles using the whole arm. It's making things quite slow, and painfully sore.

Still, it's a lot easier to run games than write them with one arm. Got a few players itching to play a dwarf campaign as they're still on their Hobbit high.

Sorry to hear about the fall. I sincerely hope that you recover quickly and completely.

Hope so too. Possible surgery to remove all the scar tissue. In physio for the time being.

Has anyone taken a shot at converting these adventures to D&D 5e/Next yet?

Not that I have heard of.

I keep a pretty close watch out for any ToN related posts on numerous boards.

Deep Gnomes were just released as an extra race in the Elemental Evil Players Guide (available for free from rpg.net) in addition to bird men and half giants.

Couldn't do it last year, but this year I've decided to run the first part of the AP at a convention. I'm hoping that book 3 and 4 will be done by then, or at least this will cause enough people to buy the pdf that they'll generate revenue for Gary, so he can continue.

The pregens have been ready for quite literally a year. Couldn't do it last year because everyone who attended refused to play anything Pathfinder related unless it was PFS. This year, I've been told by a few people they want to play Pathfinder, but hate PFS, and would love the chance to experience a "Hobbit" adventure.

If you are going to Gen Con this year and running it, I would love to play at your table. I'm volunteering there this year for Paizo.

I wish. I SO BADLY WANT TO GO!!!! >_< That, and Paizo Con. You guys are so lucky having access to those kinds of conventions down in the US. No, mine's a little small town Canadian convention that's somehow managed to celebrate it's 36th year. We hold our own well enough, I suppose. Last year we even managed to get a few people from North Dakota to come visit and participate. It was a nice experience.

I think the description is the reason why for that book. I know I am getting different encounters, but that is not saying much, and the description/presentation of an item is a large part of how it sells.

Hopefully you make it through the open call, and actually get some exposure.

I didn't make the description. I only write the pages within. After that, it's all the other people. I think that because it's the third, you're almost expected to know what the format is by now. Truth be told, the 1st book looks to have a better description. Mine's got 15 side-trek scenarios instead of 17 though. It's got thugs, a minotaur, undead, constructs, a succubus, doppelgangers, fey, a dragon, etc, but not all at once.

I allowed it to be used for a Mini-Mikazemas in March so hopefully someone will eventually ask for it (it's a free gift), and do a review on it. Given that other people have actually bought it, I was hoping that someone somewhere would've done a review.
