Okay, here is the recruitment thread to the Badlands game. All info on the setting can be found in the Nightflier's Homebrew thread. Just click on my profile and there's the link.

Character creation rules:

1) 4d6 drop the lowest; roll eight times, choose best six.
2) All Pathfinder material, Open Design stuff, Machinist by LPJ and Ardwright (search Paizo boards). Also Soulknife by DSP
3) Some races are modified from standard rules. Ask.
4) I am looking for six players; 1st level, max starting gold.

Wow, that's... something, can I make a reroll or go with a point buy or something, because well, it's 11 point buy.

I want to spend more time reading over the houserules and setting before I submit anything. This is just to get some stats out there and show interest.


Where in your world will this campaign be taking place? Are all the races mentioned in your homebrew thread available? Orgars, samsarans? Is soulknife the only psionic class allowed? What is the theme of the game going to be? (Warfare, exploration, dungeon, etc)

Edit:I am definitely feeling a Samsaran Soulknife. Could I be from a warrior caste that has different ability score modifiers? Or can soulknives be from a different race than Samsaran?


Weird, my post reverted to earlier version of post. So going to post the content again.

I will be going for the Shadar race.

nightflier, could you provide me with information regarding the Shadar, and the usual classes the Shadar would normal take.

At this stage I just chosen race without know the culture, goals of the Shadar. Need for background.

Also where is the adventure to begin, and the cause for the party to gather. Also needed for background for final part of background.

So... are we using all of the house rules that we get 2 body and 2 mind traits and also one other trait? or are we just setting with 2 only?

No. Human is the same as in Core Rules. You can use any option available for humans as presented in any Paizo product - you just have to incorporate it in your character's story.

Argh. I am currently working on an elven conjurer. RL got in the way of my submital. I don't suppose it would be of much benefit to have two?

Well, I am going to choose the members of the party primarily on the basis of the PC background. So, if both conjurers are interesting enough, they will be included.

Also, you can submit several characters, if you like.

Yes. It is powerful Advanced Race now. You need to get natural 1 on a d20 roll to be able to play it.

No. You can be a soulknife of any race. It's just that psionics are most advanced in Luminaria. The thing is that I don't feel comfortable with other psionic classes. Samsarans have the racial option to replace Shards of the Past with an Inertial Armor:

Inertial Armor(Sp): Samsarans can use psychic force to block an enemy’s blows. This ability gives them a +4 armor bonus to AC as long as they remain conscious. This is the equivalent of a 1st-level spell.
