I was just curious how many tables/PFS players there were at GenCon? I played at GenCon in 2008 and I think there were only like 30 tables in the room.
There were at least 75 physical tables in the room, but not more then 80. As for total tables ran over the course of the con, that's something the leadership will have to answer.

I read on the blog that there were a total of 91 tables between the main room and the other rooms.

So with 10 slots, thats a Max of 910 tables. however the overflow was not used each slot...
My guess? 813 tables.

Overflow was used each slot, as I recall. I don't have exact numbers, but I do know we varied between 91 (the Special) and 78 (Sunday morning) tables each slot. I'd say an average of about 81 or 82, which is pretty close to Thefurmonger's estimate. We'll have to wait until Mike gets done with reporting. We tried to get as many done as possible during the con, but we discovered on Friday or Saturday that we could only effectively have one person working on reporting tables at a time and that slowed us way down. There were several hundred reporting sheets left to be entered by the time we packed up on Sunday afternoon, and that will have to be handled by the Paizo staff as time permits between their other duties.
Edit: As a side note, if you notice an error with reporting for Gen Con that does not involve a missing table, please contact your nearest Venture-Captain to get it sorted out.
