I certainly wouldn't fall asleep 20 minutes into an 8 hour game with his version.
Funny thing is, an 8 hour game actually happened. I like to think that at the 4 hour mark, the audience woud get free grenades to spice things up on to field.

Just strolling through a raider base, sneak attacking with my silenced 10mm pistol, having a good ol' time. I reach the central room with multiple levels, and can't figure out how to get to the bottom; there doesn't seem to be any stairs or ramp. So I just jump down and look for a door.
Then I see why there was no way down. Friggin' deathclaw, just around the corner.
After a few deaths/reloads, I manage to fire off 7 or 8 sneak attack criticals (with one rank in the Ninja perk) in VATS before he sees me, and take off maybe 1/3 of his health. Luckily, I equipped Piper with a sword, so she tanks it for a while, and I lob a couple of molotovs at it and switch to a bigger gun.
I don't get paid enough for this.

Give poor Piper a break. It has been 200 years since the last journalism school was in operation....
Hey, I will eat her sweet roll any day!
I mean! I said I knew I was being nitpicky. She's still my favorite. :)
Strong: Little lady is soft, weak.
Piper: Watch it. I know a few of your brothers who'd say different.
And, DQ, that line about lawyers and truth twisting... Ouch. Just ouch... :)
Take it that lawyers tend to be savvy and read people well, and Deacon should thus not be presuming a woman with a law degree is naive enough to believe everything someone says. :)

So, does anyone else like Moe's version of baseball more too?
LOL I love his explanation of 'historical' baseball and what stats mean!
GM Niles |
Hopefully you know enough that when he says something to the effect of They players handed out these cards signed to the children of the players they killed... you knew that was in fact, not accurate. Or that when Moe says The players used these gloves to catch bullets. That's a true fact. you were at least a little bit suspicious about his accuracy.

Don't worry I don't understand pretty much any sport except Tennis and Football (I mean soccer).

Don't worry, I know what Football is. Also, you're not missing much.

Baseball somehow manages to be one of the most accessible and fun sports to PLAY while simultaneously being the most impenetrable, slow, boring games in the world to watch.
Football is similar, but the commentators at least have more pizzazz.
Then again, I like watching tennis, so maybe my opinion is worthless.

I like to watch my friends watch sports but I'm less into the games myself. Someone suggested I go see a baseball game once just because it's (according to her) a nice relaxing day where you drink beer and eat junk food for a few hours while a bunch of guys run around below you. Haven't done it yet though.
I feel bad for the Fallout-verse Red Sox though (Boston's baseball team--my grampa's favorite). I read that after they won the World Series in 1918, they didn't win again until 2004 due to what they called the "Curse of the Bambino." (The "curse" was beause they sold famous baseball player Babe Ruth to another team.) Apparently in the Fallout-verse, the Curse never lifted---but according to a Fallout 4 newspaper article, they were apparently a sure thing to win on October 23, 2077, "barring natural catastrophe or calamity of man..."
In other news, I find it odd Piper has all these reactions to different places but no pithy comments about the Boston Bugle building. You'd think as a reporter she'd be interested.

Also, I get far more excited by the other scrap turrets leave behind anyway.
True. I'm level 18, and I don't think I've found a single gun that can use 5.56mm ammo, so I'm just hoarding it.
BTW, has anyone unlocked the ability to make ballistic weave? I've done what was required according to the Fallout wiki, but still haven't been given the perk. Am I missing something?

I got it after my first Mission from P.A.M in the Railroad. You then have to talk to the weird guy there. Apparently it can take up three P.A.M. missions to Trigger. If it bugs for whatever reason (Which I have heard of happening) there is a console command to manually unlock it.

I did all three of PAM's DIA cache missions, then talked to Tinker Tom, and he just gave me another mission.

Wait and go back. I unlocked it after two missions, but I didn't get the message from Drummer Boy to talk to Tom about the weave right away--it happened a little bit later.
For that matter, if you haven't, try talking to Drummer Boy. I believe HE has to give you the message to TALK to Tom, before Tom is triggered to give you the weave.
Now I'm looking for ballistic fiber... I did fully upgrade my army fatigues though. It's nice to suddenly have defense improve by 110.
I haven't tried crafting traps at all---I keep being certain I will set them up wrong and/or just fry settlers that way. I also accidentally disabled the free tesla traps at the Castle.

Ditto. Again, since there's no guidance in game, I just avoid the whole thing despite seeing the appeal of being able to set them up.
Plus they need to be reset after they get triggered, which seems like a real time sink to me.

I found a hat I could put ballistic weave in while wearing army fatigues also with it. 110 armor all in the head.
I wish they had some cool Asian-flavored clothing! I have a female assassin character that I'd love to dress in silk dresses and yet have the ballistic weave protection on.
Scythia |
Drummer Boy doesn't have to relay the message before you can get ballistic weave from Tom. On this character, I turned in the first D.I.A. Cache mission, and went right to Tom. You might have to talk to him a couple times, to get through his rant about the Institute hiding micro bots in food, or his quest to place atmospheric sensors.

I just thought it might help if he wasn't getting it to trigger. I didn't get the convo until Drummer Boy alerted me first, so.
I talked to Drummer Boy and Tinker Tom multiple times. Still not showing up. I might just console command it, since I seem to have fallen victim to a bug.

Fallout 4: the only game where you can carry 510 pounds in your pocket and still not have enough room for all that loot!
#theREALstruggle!
You think that's bad? I have over 3500 5.56 Bullets and nothing cool looking to use them with. Except for that Welded together muffler/exhaust thing they stuck 3 (3! why?!) handles on.

I grabbed two ranks in scrounger myself, which was way more than I needed, until I decided I liked automatic guns the most. Also, some additions to my gun collection:
I also set up a syringer to try out, but the name I gave is in particularly poor taste, and the thing let me down hard, so leaving it a mystery.

Well...
I named it "Geef ti Ayds." cause you know. It uh, injects stuff. With other stuff. I can't help it.
There's a part of me that will always be 12.
