No I already have the quest. called Big Guns. The objective is currently "Find a way into the Armory of the Castle" but it doesnt tell me how to do it. Like what Do I need a shovel to dig out all the rubble in the generals quarters? should I shoot a mini nuke at the pile of rubble? Ive already tried Grenades and Missiles but that didnt work. Im supposed to remove rubble from a second tunnel leading down into the armory from the General's Quarters.
There should be a quest arrow over the settlement workshop. Just delete it like you do any other trash you don't want. I think it gives concrete.

I'm curious what people's responses to Covenant are
** spoiler omitted **
I had pretty much the same response as you.
After listening to the holotapes

You go into build mode and "scrap" the debris out of the tunnel.

So far all of the main quest I have completed is getting to Diamond City. Lvl 30 here I come.
Power armor was really useful in retaking the Castle. I also used it for the Corvetta plant. Other than that, I don't use it much. By the time I get it where I want to go its already at half power.
I left a suit of power armor in Rod Rocket and then had a base defense there. Now one of the random townies is tooling around in my power armor and wont get out :(
Save game then pickpocket the fusion core from said settler. Without the core they will be forced to exit the armor.

Thanks Caineach, its exactly what I needed to do. Cant believe I didn't think of it...
Thanks Claxon
The problem is were so used to Fallout games being a certain way, that this one catches us off guard when it expects us to do something in an overly simple way.
Also, watch out in the tunnels down there.

~whistles~ Wow! That is useful to know.
I know what I will be doing tonight and tomorrow.
Can't look at the video at work, but is this the one where you just continual pickpocket fusion cores off of anyone wearing Power Armor in the BOS to get a virtually unlimited pile of FCs?

Protectrons do it too.

No. There is a hallway with laser tripwires that you can activate a reset on.

Haha Claxon I was in my Power Armor with my Minigun when I went down there since I had used it to clear a spot with 2 legendary skull Super Mutants for a Minuteman Quest. Yes there were 2.... both Legendary AND Elite (Skull). So I basically just stood there and traded bullets with him and healed twice before I took him down, but thanks for the tip anyway, good to know they can self destruct. will make sure they stay at a distance from now on.

So far I basically haven't used Power Armor at all because I hate the UI changes. It's just really ugly to me.
At first I didn't use it because I thought Fusion Cores would be really limited, but now they're becoming pretty common as loot. I have at least 20 of them now. But now that I could conceivably use it more often, I just don't want to because of the UI changes.
Also, I have a poisoned combat shotgun that is basically fully upgraded. The thing wrecks face doing like 150 damage per shot. It's amazing.

I think this weekend will be chores and base building. Sadly, the settlers at my bases can't help me do laundry or vacuuming the house or doing dishes or...
~Piper taps me on the shoulder and asks me a question~ What? Who is this "Shaun" person that you are speaking of? I need to look for him? Are you sure? But my bases need building.

I love the idea of it, but the muted brown just doesn't look good. There are also very few fights I feel Power Armor is necessary for, and I feel like half of those enemies ignore armor anyway.

Rysky wrote:Brrr, playing on Survival for all dem Legendaries mmm...What's sruvival mode like? it doesn't happen to reintroduce any of the elements of Hardcore mode from New Vegas, does it? (hunger, thirst, tiredness, ammunition weight)
I think it just increase the damage taken, reduces damage dealt, and increases the time over which healing is applied.
Sharoth wrote:So everyone. Can you rebuild the walls at the Castle? Or should I just put a few walls around the holes in the wall?Haven't found a way to do it yet
I don't believe it is possible at all. I hope someone mod's the game to fix it, or that they patch it to fix it. I also would like them to patch the settlement buildings that can't be demolished to be able to be "repaired". I hate that in Sanctuary half the houses have 40% of their roof missing but can't be demolished. I don't expect the houses to return to their pre-war shape, but I'd like to be able to make them look as good as buildings I can currently build. But the fact that sections of wall and roof are missing really bugs me.

That annoys me too. Especially Jamaica Plain.

I like what this guy did with County Crossing.
~sighs~ I think I am finally figuring out some of the base building stuff in Fallout 4.

Ok. Maybe Jamaica Plain is not as useless as I thought it would be. ~sighs~ Lots of base building ideas going on in my head.

Anyone know if settlers can be random synths that start attacking?
I had a message that Sanctuary hills was under attack. By the time I got there, all I found was a dead settler in the middle of town with an institute pistol and synth part.
From reading online, absolutely yes. This happens. Not infrequently either. Your settlers will be replaced with Synths and you will not know until they try to kill someone in your town.
You can still use your poisoned shotgun in Power Armor you know. You will just have a really badass gun in really badass armor.
Are you referring to me? Because I know that you get to use your same weapons normally. I just don't like the way the power armor UI clutters up and overlays on the screen. It just looks bad IMO.

I am slowly getting used to the power armor UI.

Project Nevada was a MASSIVE overhaul mod for Fallout: New Vegas, that added a bunch of high quality new, lore friendly content.
It was EXCELLENT. It was the only mod I ran for New Vegas (besides A Tale of Two Wastelands), but it added so much new, awesome stuff (some of which made its way into Fallout 4, like Sprinting).
If a similar mod were to be made for Fallout 4, obviously "Project Nevada" doesn't work since, well, it's not set in Nevada.
Hence, "Project Massachusetts" (or Commonwealth, maybe).

What annoyed me was that the way burrowing enemies work meant there was no real possibility to simply avoid getting attacked/infected. If it had been a non-burrowing creature I could have gone untouched.

Has anybody figured out what the armour numbers actually mean? Clearly they're not "direct % of damage reduced", like in 3 (as cool as that would be with my 111 ballistic rating), and clearly they're not "damage below this number blocked", like New Vegas.
It's difficult for me to decide what mods are worth it without understanding what the values represent.
