In the APG it states that "Thrown bombs have a range of 20 feet and use the Throw Splash Weapon special attack (see page 202 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook)". My GM is stating that due to a lack of the term "increment" that the maximum range of the bomb is in fact 20 feet. I am not too worried about this as I plan to play the character either way but I was wondering if there has ever been an official ruling as to bomb range? I tried to find one but all I found was a bunch of waffling on the subject and no definitive "errata". If I could get an official response that would be great!
Thanks!

The term "range" is used interchangeably with "range increment" with regards to weapons. Table 6-4 in the CRB uses the term "range" to describe range increments, for instance.
In any event, it's still a physical object so you could always treat it as an improvised throwing weapon with 10 foot range increment (this should highlight the oddity of your GM's ruling)

Under the Standard Action - Ranged Attack section is the following text:
With a ranged weapon, you can shoot or throw at any target that is within the weapon's maximum range and in line of sight. The maximum range for a thrown weapon is five range increments. For projectile weapons, it is 10 range increments. Some ranged weapons have shorter maximum ranges, as specified in their descriptions.
Therefore, unless the description of the thrown weapon states otherwise, it can be thrown at any target within its maximum range increment. A bomb with a 20-foot range could be thrown up to 100 feet (with horrendous penalties, of course).

Unfortunately my GM is adamant that, without explicit confirmation that it has an increment, the bomb is limited to the range in the book. It isn't the end of the world but if there is no errata/official faq I guess that is the way it shall stay.
We don't even need the developer's saying so. The rules do just fine.
Range: Any attack at more than this distance is penalized for range. Beyond this range, the attack takes a cumulative –2 penalty for each full range increment (or fraction thereof) of distance to the target. For example, a dagger (with a range of 10 feet) thrown at a target that is 25 feet away would incur a –4 penalty. A thrown weapon has a maximum range of five range increments. A projectile weapon can shoot to 10 range increments.
This is what X Range means in the context of thrown weapons.
Thrown bombs have a range of 20 feet and use the Throw Splash Weapon special attack
Bonus developer commentary, for if the rules happen to not be good enough.
Happy lobbin', friend.

Cheapy has an excellent argument there. Point out that in the specific weapon rules example on range description, it states For example, a dagger (with a range of 10 feet) thrown at a target 25 feet away...
If the dagger can only be thrown 10 feet (after all, that's what it says; it doesn't say "range increment") then how can it ever be thrown at a target 25 feet away?
