Retraining Documentation

What kind of documentation needs to occur for 1st level retraining and/or restats due to major rules changes? The next chronicle itself? An attached sheet to said chronicle?

The conditions lost/items sold & conditions gained/items bought boxes are pretty small to even account for the gear shift that may occur in a 1st level retrain, much less class details.

A "retrain/restat due to rules change" Chronicle might be useful in this case.

I seem to recall that it should appear on your chronicle sheet. Though I can't remember where I got that from so it might be total bull.

I like the idea though :P

This is far from official, but what I did for one of my rebuilds was to just make a brand-new character sheet, and add a sheet of paper after the last chronicle detailing which gear I refunded and what new stuff I bought.

In the case of first-level rebuilds, I can't imagine there's anything not covered by that. It's not like it matters what your PC used to be.

As for partial rebuilds due to bannings and whatnot, I'm not sure what to tell you.

My practical concern is a 1st level rebuild going from Inquisitor to Monk (which entails a complete gear swap along with other tweaks & adjustments).

I just imagine people shifting classes as part of the new guide are in a similar and even more complicated position given they have higher level gear and the like to account for.

Again, in such a situation, there's no need to track "changes" (i.e., tweaking stats and feats and such) as the rebuild is essentially limitless. Just shred your old character sheet and print a brand new one.

The only part of a first-level rebuild that has a practical reason to "show your work" is the gear, so as long as you show what you refunded and what new stuff you bought, I can't imagine there would be any problem.

On this, though, I have no helpful advice. :P

Since we don't have a formal way to deal with it:

If your adjustments won't fit in the space provided, just write the details on the back of the Chronicle with a note on the front saying "details on back."

Well, when I did my 3.5 to PFS build change, I left a copy of the old character sheet in my binder, at the back.

From the back:
Season 0 Chronicles
Season 0 Character Sheet
I used the blank chronicle sheet that was included, as an example, in the old GtPFSOP as a conversion chronicle
New Chronicles
New Character Sheets

That blank chronicle was very handy for that.

For now, since i have to do this as a more extensive rebuild for my barely second level Dhampir former Undead Lord, I am gonna do something like that, maybe using a spreadsheet listing the changes.

And I was only planning on giving him Dayborn for his 1st level rebuild. Heh. Best laid plans of mice and men gang aft agley.

When i rebuilt from season 0 i printed out the blank chronicle that was included in tne guide at the time and listed everything on it.

This is what I plan to do, as well, for my combination first level and undead lord combo rebuild.
