One week from now, nearly 500 Pathfinders will gather in Magnimar to help Venture-Captain Sheila Heidmarch acquire a fabled Lissalan artifact and cement The Society's presence in Varisia's fastest growing city. Which of Golarion's greatest adventurers will claim a place in history by laying their hands upon the Runecarved Key?
Pathfinders, sound off!

Well, since I'm technically not working HQ during the special... sure, why not? :D

I will be GM'ing, so I guess I will be doing everything in my power to deny said society from laying their hands upon the key. muahahahaha
I am so ready for the Special. I'm pretty sure I'm safe from the direct Wrath of Baird since he will be killing the 12+ tables directly. I know you wrote this Kyle, so if I die, will this count toward your total kills? :P
The chronicle feels tier-appropriate rewarding, rather than humdrum, was what I was trying to convey. Didn't think it'd been spoilery. sorry about that.

I will take up the call! When I return from my current assignment to Round Mountain I shall be ready.
Auction Paddles?
Success slips?
Key Point sheets?
Chronicles?
Are there going to be actors for the auction like for the Grand Convocation?
I think that's all my questions. I just wanted to know what I'd need to have printed out, besides a ton of monster and additional rulings from the prd. I'd have emailed Kyle, but these seemed more management than author queries.
Thanks.

For what? After your tenth death you get a free new character?

Yes. I have moved on from killing PCs directly.
Oh god, Kyle's franchising the TPK!
He's even giving out punch-cards now.

Buy 7 deaths, get the next one for half-price.

Spoiler:
Just what will be provided for GM's?
I am providing Tracking Sheets, auction paddles, Chronicle sheets, Chase Card deck, success slips, key point sheets, and 3 flip mats.
It is a good idea for GMs to print their own copy of the special if possible. I will have some copies of the Special at PFS HQ but not enough for every GM. I believe I have 20 copies so please print your own copy if at all possible.

I tried but couldn't get it together in time.

I know this may be a hard problem to ask, but I will try.
Is there any way GM's can know which tier they are going to be GM'ing before hand?

Is this specific to the special, or is there no need for a GM to print chronicles for any of his games? I'd like to kill as few trees as possible.

Who do you think Mike is, some kind of omniscient over-lord? oh wait, nevermind ;-)

I was wondering this as well, but figured since i'm overflow, I'll probably not have any way of knowing, so I'm going to have everything prepared, or at least printed. ;)

I have enough Chronicles and tracking sheets for every game all four days. GMs will need to print faction missions and any players handouts.

There isnt. We don't know what characters and levels we will have so I can't pinpoint that. However, if you prefer a certain tier, we can try to accommodate you as best as possible during marshalling.

I don't care what tier I run, but I want to be far away from Kyle's table. Would prefer not to be inside the blast radius when opens his can of whoop arse on the 12+.

I don't have speak with dead so it'll be hard for us to talk after Kyle is done with you :-)
Unfortunately make whole can only be cast on objects, not (dead) creatures.
I'll be playing at the 10-11 subtier myself, hoping to get to the second round where my character will have reached level 12. It seems a good way to retire him from normal play.

I could be wrong, but I think a body is an object.
that's why you can get dead NPCs out of the Tapestry, but not live ones.

I'm going to GenCon solo so I don't have a group. So, let's start a table here (unless you already have one).
GM: Bob
Swiftbrook: Ranger 11
Mike Lindner: ..... 11

What happens if we KILL 25-50% of all the PC's. Prepping this, and I have to say, the stop watch will be your friend, so y'all might want to make sure the Over GM's works.

I think we have a table of 5 showing up to play at 10-11, although I'm not sure if the other folks got their characters up in level.
In any case, I'll be playing a dragon disciple/sorcerer. Bob is actually the only one to get this character to negative con. Fortunately I went down right next to a cleric with breath of life prepared. I won't go down so easily this time though.

I wouldn't mind trying to join you at your table if you wouldn't mind having a 10th level Cleric at your table. :)

I'd love to be your 6th, if I fit.
I can tell you that what that table is missing is a Tank style character as their usually tank (me) will be running this year.

Not a tank. Archer - spotter. No one should get the drop on me.

Details on PC:
Ulfen body guard formerly from Cheliax now serving as a special agent based in the Whistledown lodge with his wife Venture Captain Taunni. There are no other people stationed at this lodge and those sent to it are rapidly sent on missions that take them very very far away.
Level 14.2
Role dealing damage to lots of opponents via melee.
I will go to Magnimar and do this thing that you ask.
And when all the talking and planning is done and things end in blood and screams, as they always do, I will be there in the thick of the battle. Earning glory with my deeds.
If you think yourself worthy to carry the name of Pathfinder you will there as well. Revelling in the challenge of battle and not caring about the how long you might live if you ran. For no true man has ever died in bed and those who run only die tired.
So make your plans and schemes. They will not matter. It will end as it always does with blood and screaming.
So say I Urai Agmundr, Watch Commander for the Pathfinder Society.
