Accelerated Drinker+Drunken Brute=?

Sovereign Court

I looked around for a bit and couldn't find the answer. Anyways what does the above give me in terms of action economy? Is drinking a potion a swift action, free action, or unaffected?

Sovereign Court

Depending on how fast you can get this, I was thinking that it could be the poor man's quicken spell.

mmm sorry I don't think they interact both state drinking is a move action

with both you can drink as move outside of rage if your holding the potion already

while raging you can draw and drink as a move action

either way its still a move action.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking but it is still nice to be able to drink as a move. Especially if I am a witch with the Cauldron Hex (or Brew Potion Feat) because now I can basically use two spells, or a Hex and spell in one round.

This is true

also if you couple this with alchemist you can use discoveries to enhance the potion your drink to last longer and work at your caster level which is very handy. Plus you can even use alchemical allocation extract to drink and potion without using it up.

however neither accelerated drink or drunken brute will work with extracts they are not classed as potions

James Jacobs even said specifically that Accelerated Drinker+extracts don't work.

Yeah, I remember that is a no go. I was just trying to speed up the drinking process as much as possible. Do you guys know of any quick method of retrieving the potions? I know wrist sheaths work but you can only have two and they eat up a swift action (which is good but can it be better?).

I proposed a Beer hat for alchemists to my GM that you could slot potions into and drink from a tube , he laughed at me go figure ;)

basically its tough to get it down faster than a move

handy haversack is the classic move action to draw anything from the bag.

Acutally

again Alchemist
If you take the vestigal arms and or tentacles and use them as originally intended you can be holding multiple potions while you've still got arms free to attack with.

In fact unless I'm mistaken you can just have potions attached by a slip cord to your belt and pull them off with a free hand as a free action while doing something else. and with 5 limbs you've got free appendages to spare, but that might not be RAW

XD made a dumb drunk ragechemist. seeing how alchmist does spell casting with potions was super fun. kinda broken.

I present to you the Sipping Jacket. Yes, it can only hold a single potion, but you can use a swift action to either consume an instantaneous-duration potion or one round of a rounds-duration potion.
Yes, this kinda limits the sorts of potions you can use with it, but old favorites like Cure and Haste work just fine.
