I wasn't sure where to post this, but I felt I had to post my idea somewhere, so here it is.
Character Sheet Folios. We all have them and none of us use the whole thing. There are always some blank, or not fully filled out pages. Worse yet, when we do get it filled out and have everything just right...the character is killed off, or the campaign ends (one way or the other).
Why not make folders for various classes and or groups/organizations with clear sleeves for the character sheets, equipment sheets, advancement sheets, feat sheets, etc...
The 'folders' cold also have slots for equipment cards. Things people take for granted could now be kept track of easily like, back packs, bedrolls, rations, etc...When it's used up, damaged or stolen the card is removed. No card, no item, no erasing.
brock, no the other one... |
An interactive fillable PDF charsheet with an option of customizing display and importing data from HeroLab is a wet dream of mine.
Latest newsletter from the Wolf's Lair indicated that they would be releasing an iPad app that synced with the desktop app and acted as an electronic character sheet during play - does that stoke your fires?
I've been looking at taking the XML output by HeroLab and turning it into PDF - possible, but beyond my current skillset.

This makes me stoked.

Here is an idea. Have you ever been using a module and find you have to cover up sections of pages to show maps/locations to players?
In James Bond modules from Victory Games they would produce packets for players as well as the GM. This way you could pass out info the players would know or find out without them seeing things they shouldn't.
Another problem I have encountered is players having already read the adventure module and basically ruin it for themselves and/or everyone else. Why not adventures that have variables to change the module?
I know a good GM that is prepared can actually fix these problems, but it would be nice to have a little more help at it.
