Join us for three great days of gaming at FlatCon 2012 in Bloomington, IL 26-28 October! We are offering more than 50 tables of Pathfinder Society OP including all tiers of play, Pathfinder modules, brand new season four scenarios, the 12th level retirement arc "Eyes of the Ten" GM'd by none other than the legendary Dick Gilbert from Chicago, as well as prizes and special chronicle boons. And if that isn't awesome enough, profits from the convention go to help the American Cancer Society.
The schedule of Pathfinder Society events for FlatCon has been posted. Check it out HERE on Warhorn. You can currently register to attend, but not for individual events. That feature will be activated on Saturday, August 4th, at noon (cst). You will still need to register with the convention FLATCON, and acquire your badge, but since they do not offer pre-registration on their website, we will manage signups on Warhorn. There will be onsite signups at the convention for any remaining seating, but online pre-registration will receive preferred status.
Note, the schedule is subject to change should we have any events that do not attract enough players and/or if we have a huge response for something that fills up quickly.
If you wish to volunteer to GM any events or help out with mustering or HQ, please send ME an email pfs.illinois@gmail.com. Hope to see you there!

Well, heck. FlatCon used to be held earlier in October, and I'd attended for a number of years (back to Living Greyhawk days). Alas, the late October date (to which they moved last year) conflicts with a long-standing gaming weekend with my old group in Wisconsin. :-(
Sounds like you'll have a great lineup going for this -- I'll be there in spirit!

Sorry to hear that. The energy level of the con just dropped a few points I'm sure.

I'm sorry too, unfortunately, circumstances out of my control :) I'm sure it'll be a fun convention tho in the long run

Bump...
And just a note in case it got lost among all the gaming stuff. This convention is managed by Gamers For Life which is an organization who supports cancer research. In addition to food offerings, there is a charity auction, and (hopefully) multiple 50/50 raffles. All the proceeds from FlatCon are donated to the American Cancer Society through their Relay for Life program.
So if you want to enjoy three days of gaming fun and support a great cause at the same time, consider attending.

I know how you feel. If I manage to get all three of my tables in, I'll hit my third star, so I'm really hoping there is a lot of at the door type registration. :/
I need 4 of my 6 tables to happen to push me over the 3 star threshold. So far, only 2 of my tables have more than a single player signed up...hoping walk-ins are abundant.

Home! Whew, what a weekend. It was great to see all the ol' friends again as well as many new players. I will post some stats from the con once my brain has had some time to decompress and I get some sleep.
Thanks to everyone who attended. As usual, the players were awesome and not only made for some great tables, but made my job as organizer sooo much easier. The new players that participated had nothing but great things to say about their GM's and the venue. There were numerous comments on how experienced players made them feel welcome and helped with building characters and understanding the nuances of Pathfinder vs. their previous experiences with other game systems. Makes me proud to be a member of this community.
To my GM's, HUGE thanks. Without you, I cannot pull these events together. You level of professionalism and preparedness is awesome!
A shout out to Harold Ravlin, Dick Gilbert, Kevin Ingle, Rene Duquesnoy, Gregg Homerding, Kristen Gipson, Seth Gipson, Chancy Briscoe, Adam Bennington, Chris Mortika, James Holzhauer, Rob Sanders, Andrew Hoskins, and Shaun Burton. I hope I did not forget anyone. You're efforts are greatly appreciated!
I also want to thank Clinton Boomer for attending. Just hanging out with him was awesome. Wish I could have played a table with him as GM, but alas my duties kept me busy. I will definitely make it a priority the next time we are at the same venue.

Great con!
It was great to see some old friends and meet some new people too!
Definitely hope to come back next year.
Highlight for me was definitely Part 3 of Quest for Perfection with Chris Mortika running an awesome table with a great group. Everyone was extremely engaged and we worked well together.
Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment run by Greg on Friday night was a close 2nd though.
And the best of all is Bob rescinding his resignation!
